I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work on such an awesome car. Weren't there under 1,000 Exige's in the US in '06??
This car has 2,500 miles and was babied for sure. It's mainly a track car, but the owner does like to take it out on nice days, just as I would too. The asthetics of this car are incredible. The only dilemma as a detailer is that (yes even for me, being 5'7"), the car is so low, that my lower back is killing me. At least I could reach the roof without a ladder
Funny thing was, while I was doing this detail at the owners house, 8 out of 10 cars that passed were not paying attention to the road what-so-ever.... It was hillarious :lol
Here's the befores:
So I washed with Meguiars Gold Class (love that wash):
Clayed with Sonus Ultra Fine and then looked it over. This is what condition the car was in:
Before:
Not bad really. Polished using Meguairs #80 with green pad and it worked:
After:
Continued along, taped like a mofo and sitting, standing, bending, etc. I sealed the car with Poorboy's EX and 5 hours later:
One of the more challenging cars to do because of the curves of the car. Not to mention all the vents :hairpull
I wish I had my new camera too, because my camera now sucks. The pics do not do justice. Oh well, I will have it soon... That and the sun went in the clouds just as I was finishing... :doh
