Does anyone put Z1 on their car just to before using Z2/Z5 w/ZFX?

Is there any benefit or harm to just coat with Z1?

SHould i even buy Z1 or just spend the money on another bottle of Z6? How many coats can I do with a bottle of Z6?

Dankz,

BSD.

If you have ZFX, then there is no need to get Z-1. Even if you run out of ZFX, you can apply an unmixed coat of Z-5/Z-2 on top of your existing ZFX layers.

How long your Z-6 lasts all depends on your QDing technique, but generally the Z-6 runs out before the Z-5/Z-2. So yes, it would be a good idea to get an extra bottle of Z-6 as opposed to the Z-1.

This was completed today(10-14-2010) and this car was a handfull, initially I thought the car would not too bad but after the filling wax was stripped off.................

As badly hammered at it was :scared:, not deserving of a show and shine, more like restoration work Bob

Yes, your easy ones always look great, even if they take 5 clay bars and a gallon of lube to remove the paintbooth exhaust (how many hours did that take?).

Respectfully,
grungy

I have to tell you that I think that guy was using a brillo pad as a wash mit? What was with the saw dust? I guess the thinks it's just a car.

Another amazing turn around. the 50/50 shots look un-believable.

The great thing about 911's is that 2005 looks very much like the 2009's to me especially with the yellow calipers.

Bob,
This time, you have really outdone yourself (and that is not easy to do). That was an awesome correction.

I hope you took your cliant's keys away from him, and told him that after treating such a beautiful car like that, he does not deserve to have it anymore.;)

Great work!!!!

Bob,
Would you mind telling me more about the De-con procedure? I see you do this often and was curious about it.

Bob,

It is a combo of P&S citrus soap/Mark V "splash/clay/foam bath twice, then regular washing procedures but in this case I clayed after the wash to remove the "Sawdust" which happened because the dummies building a fence nearby the car one day(a hot day) so the "Sawdust" baked on and was a real PITA to remove but in that case so what it is what we all have to do sometimes.

That looks great Bob, incredible save! Did you ask the owner why it had a 3.8L airbox? Or was it just a simple upgrade for better airflow or something?

Wow, this would've been a perfect canidate car for one of those crazy I'm better then anyone detail contest threads :D

Outstanding turnaround on this one for sure Bob :partaaay2:

"Poser status" was envoked..........and said as much to the client(long story we did not have a great working relationship and this car will never be this nice again............it was a "One and done" shall we say, poor car did not deserve this treatment).
