1999 Toyota Sienna

I am converting from Zaino system to Klasse. (Hang on, Zaino fans, I am still using Zaino on my wife's 2001 Sebring convertible, but trying Klasse system on my BMW 330Ci.) I will be be lightly using some 3M SMR, followed by Klasse AIO, SG, then Blitz.

What I need to know is how or whether to remove my Zaino now on the car. before using the Klasse. Alcohol? Is it even necessary to remove it?

Thanks.

Klasse All-in-one's non-abrasive chemical cleaners will also remove the Zaino in case you don't use SMR all over the car.

Are you guys sure SMR will remove the Zaino? I had some stains on the roof of my truck that I couldnt see for about a week in 100 degree weather so I had to use some Perfect-It 3 Machine Glaze on it followed by Pinnacle PCL and the roof still looks great. Its been about a month and probably 6 washings since I've done that and still havent re-Zaino'd it and it still beads water and shines like crazy. Is the SMR that much more abrassive? What do you guys think?

I'm 99.9% sure that Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion must have removed the Zaino.

Most modern paints bead without any wax protection, and prep (3m Perfect-It, and PCL in your case) is the secret to a perfect shine. Not always the sealant.

Guess I should have mentioned that I have single stage paint on my truck. It doesnt have that "deep under glass" look without the Zaino. Thats why I dont believe the Perfect-It or the PCL removed the Zaino because it still has that "under glass" look and the surface is still slick and smooth, not squeaky clean like bare paint.

When I have polished single stage paint, the paint looks fantastic even without any wax or polymer. The freshly exposed paint is just that, fresh and (if the polishing was done properly) perfect -- for a while (!)

A while back I polished out a 1999 Toyota Sienna. The owner uses it as a work van and travels in it to Florida every winter. It only has about 56,000 miles on it. Perfection was obviously not the goal here. The owner just wanted a clean, smooth, and glossy van he could be proud of. In the process of doing that I was able to do some serious correction since the paint was pretty soft and easy to de-swirl. The owner was very happy with the end result.

-Washed with NXT Generation Car Wash
-Clayed with Mild Blue Detailing Clay
-The paint was corrected with M80 Speed Glaze via the G110.
-Two coats of Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 were applied by hand.
-The tires wear Gold Class Endurance High Gloss
-The wheelwells wear Hyperdressing 2:1.

In the end I was able to get away with 85-90% correction. Not too bad for a ten year old work van.

Beautiful work. You got me interested in Meg's M80.

Thanks Puckman. If you ever come across M80 be sure to give it a try. You will definitly like it.
