1991 Civic Si engine detailed (pics)

Well I finished my engine bay detail.. took about 4 days total.



I used WD-40 and a paintbrush and 4 microfiber towels.

Works amazing on 20 year old buildup of dirt and rustproofing. No joke. =)

Car had been sitting for 10+ years.. Buildup of rustproofing and dust on it takes its toll.

Car has 105,000 kms (60,000 miles)

Crap! That's all you used and your engine came out like that? Talk about killer. How much time did it take ya? THing looks great.

Spray and simultaneoulsy brush off the dirt with a soft paint/detail brush, wipe oil and dirt with microfiber towel. Simple as that.:chuckle:

Yes.. why would I lie ?

There's no other method.. just spray and brush, wipe off...

For deep dried grime, you gotta spray and bursh alot.
 
Hot Dang that looks good.



I knew the valve cover couldn't be stock, the stock honda paint flakes off when you look at it.



Great work and dedication. Did you protect with anything now that the rust protection is gone? Any belt slip from WD-40 or did you take care not to spray on any belts?
