Clean Dean
Keep it clean !!!
Imagine detailing (2) 1962 Jaguar XKE in less than 2 months !!! I detailed a white XKE in late December, and this one yesterday. A lot more work with this one, but she really came out nice.
The white XKE I detailed in December was near concours and nicer than this one, but the color combination of this XKE really turns heads...
On the paint, I clayed then buffed w/ rotary DACP to remove some heavy swirls. Followed with Klasse AIO (haven't used this in over a year). I used AIO because it just does something to red paint that is hard to explain !!! I topped with AM's EZ pPaste Wax.
The chrome and aluminum was cleaned with Mother Chrome and Aluminum polish and Noxon polish. I used various rags, MF towels and 0000 steel wool where needed.
The interior was cleaned with Meg's APC in various concentrations, and the leather was treated with Lexol conditioner after cleaning. ( I am experimenting w/ Megs APC after picking up 5 gallons last week ). So far I really like Megs APC especially it's clean smell.
Enjoy...
