glad to see i am not the only one who details in sandals....LOL

If a car is being dropped off at my house I wear sandals. If I go to a clients house then I usually wear shoes. ;)

Your not kidding, but u do great work 01!

Well considering (which is not my clients fault) he took the car to 3 different detail shops in the area over time and none of them could produce the results that I did (his statement). Im sure over those three visits it cost him as much or even more then my one detail. Difference is I got it done right :) All those holograms you see in the before pics is from the last detail shop that butchered it!

Absolutely stunning work Chris!

That's how I like to see them. :xyxthumbs

Did you have problems correcting the paint on the spoiler? Same process?

I made three lighter passes on the spoiler vs the trunk which I did 2 firm passes on.

I tape off trim for the purpose of not hitting it with the buffer. Also when polishing dust gets on trim its hard to get out. The tape in the middle of panels is just for the purpose of before/after pics.

haha, that's cool, looks nice to, perfect straight line. the main reason i asked is i kind of like the idea of taping for the purpose of boundaries, after a long day i bet taping up each section would prove worthy.

Excellent work Chris!!!!!!!! I know how it is when people try to price shop and end up going to cheap shops just cause they think it is all the same. Then when they come to you there car is now in worst shape than it started. People always complain I am too much also, but they always end up having me do it month down the road after it gets hacked up. I do not get it.

You do excellent correction work!

That's "You Gotta Be Sh*tting Me" level of shine right there. :shocked :up

VERY nice detail. Esp. given what those butchers did to that G!

I thought SIP was for the new ceramic clear coats? I know that 04-05 Infiniti's have hard paint. But, I wasn't aware of any ceramic clear coats. Did you have any issues with the grit causing hazing?

*I ask as an Infiniti owner and as a detailer. ;)

All my experience with the Ceramic clear coat polishes from menzerna have been with a rotary so Im not sure about PC. I know others have used it with PC successfully. I find the Menz polishes (Ceramic versions) are just fine with all clear coat. I have used them on very soft paint to hard paint, and single stages. I find no problems with hazing, or the sorts. I have also used the regular intensive and FPII polishes and find that the ceramic polishes are far superior in every aspect. They have more cut, longer working times, and finishes down finely. If you want to try some of them I know that detailersdomain.com has the full line from PG to PO85RD. I actually havent tried 85RD but Im thinking about ordering some. Are you using rotary or PC?

I'm a PC'er.

I looked on autogeek and it says 'safe for all paint types.' Maybe I'll try a lil on a test spot. After the results you achieved, I know what I *should* expect from those products!

Cheers!

Depending on defects trying to be removed, SIP is best used with orange cut pad or white polish pad. 106FF is best with white polish pad or blue finesse pad. The pads I use are referenced to Lake Country pads, so if you use different brands, then adjust combo's accordingly to aggressiveness of pads. :) Hope this helps

Hey 01bluecls, thanks for the tips! I'm always listening for any wisdoms handed out by veteran detailers. Gonna check out using your combo of Menz's products...
