The paint was actually a serious PITA. Most of my steps had to be repeated when polishing. Also be prepared that the paint wont be top notch. This one I found a run in the paint and the quarter had some sanding marks along with heavier orange peel. Also be ready to meet some buffer swirls that may not come out since they buffed the paint right after it was painted from the factory. I also found running the rpms higher yielded better results then lower rpms but we all know what happens with high rpms if not careful! :waxing: :shocked
Picus said:Thanks for the heads up, sounds typical of Ferrari paint, sort of a pain to deal with. That flat red is tough; which makes the job you did even more impressive. :waxing:

you did it, great job! So was the paint hard or better this time? wow and drove it too. I would ask, Can i gun it! lol

The right angle drill is a Ryobi. It works fine for what I need it. Little more hard to control then the makita and takes just a tad bit longer to work polish correctly since the max speed is 1100 rpms. You do have to have to be more careful with it.
maesal - the blue finesse pad is 6.5 LC/Wolfgang brand. I get them from autogeek or some other vendors online.
Salty - Almost all Ferrari transmission these days are the F1 transmission. The paddles to shift are right behind the steering wheel.
bluej511 - yes I will marry youlol jk Well I have the laptop but 2g's + for the paint gauge to read fiberglass and carbonfiber....eeek.
I will have to take pics of the right angle drill set-up and start a thread on it since there are a lot people asking about it.
Thanks for all the compliments. It truly was a blessing to work on such a car. :dance
