Here are some pics of my electron blue firebird transam. I have previously used klasse but i wanted to try out s100 so i did menzerna ip/fp than klasse twins topped with s100. I would have liked to have waited to layer the SG over the course of a few days before s100 but i didn't have the time. Let me know what you think. :up

Looks very good. The S100 give a very fluid, warm look to the paint as opposed to the plastic shine of SG.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I agree that the S100 really made it look deep and wet. In the sun today i really saw the metallic come alive, that is what klasse does for ya, i may strip it and do the SG in layers, i rushed because i had a show and i also wanted to check out how well S100 did. I am pleased with it. immediately following the SG i didn't see a hugh difference but under low light or towards dusk and at night the paint looked very deep and wet.

I disagree with seeing the S100 topper as an improvement over just SG fro this color. I have very similar metallic blue color on my car ('99 Miata) and S100 mutes (dulls) the over-the-top gloss that several layers of SG gives this color. Yes, it's warmer looking but wetness and depth of paint, while different looking, can also be found in SG. I've seen Zaino look decidedly plastic but SG is very much less so. I've had Souveranx2 over AIO/SG on metallic blue and it does improve most of the qualities of the paint save for shine/gloss. It is dripping wet and very, very deep looking. I used S100 over AIO/SG for several months as a sacrificial layer. I like how easy it is to use but all that time I couldn't wait to take it off and go all Klasse.

Oh yeah, I agree S100 looks good in low light conditions.

beastie: i don't know how i feel about the combo just yet considering i didn't get the layer up the SG, but i am happy with it at the time being. I need to experiment a bit more, i still want to try out VM, EX-P & S100 comob, aswell as wolfgang and pinnacle.

BlueRanger: i was thinking abolut a 2'' drop but my lower fascia wold probably hit everything, plus i kinda like the old muscle car look where the back sticks up higher, i was thinking of getting wider tires that stick out of the wheel well a bit more to complete the look

Try a 1 1/4" drop, and then that thing would be hot, or put it on airbags, so it handles better, and can be lowered for shows.... very nice look BTW.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Electron Blue was not a factory color for the F-bodies in 2002, that is a Corvette Color right?

Yep. Never was a factory color for F-bodies. They had Navy Blue Metallic and (rare) Medium Blue Metallic.

I don't recall medium blue metallic as an available color for the 02 firebird, however it might have been able to be specialy ordered. The car previously was navy blue.

Buick_guy: correct me if i'm wrong but putting it on bags would make it handle worse wouldn't it? I was thinking of dropping it but my 1/4 times would probably be ish, you have to get relocation brackets and all sorts of crap to recenter the rear.

Would they make it handle worse? Huh, I know that a person I know put airbags in his car, and it handle a hell a lot better.
