QD's that do no impart their own look onto carnauba. (?)

Maybe the logo has it's pockets inside-out because of all the money it spend on the Lambo... Or maybe it could afford the Lambo because of all the money saved on detailing supplies...

It's a bit more complicated than that. In my avatar, Pockets is out of gas, out of money. It’s a typical story of a good guy finishing last:

Pockets was driving a customer’s Lambo to his garage to do some detailing (he subsidizes his income as a tuxedo model by taking on a few details a month). He’s daydreaming again. This time, of the wonderful performance of SSR2, and how he can’t wait to apply four dime-sized drops to his 4-year-old, but perfect condition, 5.5” orange pad. The residual Drakar Nior and hair gel on the Lambo interior has him thinking of PB Green Apple air freshener and Natural Look.

It was in this typical mental haze that Pockets took a wrong turn in Albuquerque, and now he’s running out of gas and needs money (as we see him in my Avatar). He often finds himself in these predicaments. But contrary to popular belief, Pockets isn’t poor, at least on paper. He’s just frugal, a bit unorganized, and prone to bad luck. He calculated his funds precisely and carried the exact amount of cash required for this trip. How was he to know the Lambo got 9 mpg?

Later, rummaging through the Lambo, amidst the plethora of gold chains and a bottle of CG Stripper Scent, he found a few dollar bills. Trying his best not to judge, Pockets took the fowl smelling singles to a nearby house where a neighborly farmer gladly helped him out with a dusty can of 89 octane. The farmer refused the money and sent Pockets on his way, and later that night he told his wife that he had met the Monopoly Man (farmer Brown isn’t much for detailing).

Lamenting his tuxedo in the 89-degree heat, Pockets gave the thirsty Gallardo a few sips of the old gas and off he went.

The sunrise revealed a glimmering Lambo in the immaculate driveway normally occupied by a flawless deep black 1970 Chevy SS. Pockets donned a fresh tux, pushed the lining of his pockets back in, and proceeded to deliver the Bull back to its owner. His happy go lucky demeanor was diminished by the Lambo’s sputtering and stalling – no doubt from Farmer Brown’s old 89 octane gas. Pockets handed the keys to the smiling owner, also passing over a bottle of QD+, a few DMTs, and suggestively donating a bottle of Green Apple air freshener. Pockets left for home, $1200 in tow, and all was right with the world.

Two weeks later Pockets was sued by the Lambo owner for $5000 of damages to the fuel system. Poor Pockets.

lol This needs to be a book.

Mothers show time, Megs 34, and Megs over the counter in the red bottle will not alter look of your lsp. I have been searching for years for what you are searching for now. Poorboys spray and wipe is advertised as such but forget it, it leaves a greasy film just like the rest of them.

Never had spray and wipe leave a greasy film...
Thats one of the reasons I like to use it. It's a great drying aid.
Always worried about usong stuff with gloss enhancers. It doesn't only change the look, but it alters the water behaviour properties of the wax / sealant / coating

+1 Excellent point. Do you dilute your S&W when using it as a drying aid?

Got my latest batch of detailers. The FK425 behaves great even though it's a bit thicker than I imagined. The Sonus QD is doing nothing, which might be just the thing, and it's cheap right now. I still want to do some comparative 1/2 and 1/2 testing. I should change my username to QD-Addict.

Spray and wipe....a fantabulous product.

Hmmm. I'm just not sold...:love::love:

Poorboy's Spray and Gloss is my recommendation for what you describe. Another possibility is Clearkote QuickShine but Autopia and Autogeek no longer sell it. Between the two I would go with Spray and Gloss.

I LOVE FK425, but I find that it definately adds a glossy look.

I too am digging the FK425. It's a great QD. I did the whole car with Spray & Wipe then FK425 and it was glowing. The clean car after S&W made the FK QD just glide, whereas some QDs hop around and seem to skip areas unless you use more product.
