Goof Off Rocks!
If you've read my post called 'what would you bid this job at?"
http://www.detailcity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4634
It was about detailing a trailer. I bid the job high because I couldn't get there to see it first. Anyways, the job turned out to be easy and I made out pretty good on the deal. The guy was so happy with the job and the service that he had me come out to do two of the racers. Just goes to show that its not how much you charge as long as you provide value to your customer.
Pretty friggin cool cars. Much more fun to work on than a suv or minivan. The red one had over 500hp. The black stuff all over the body's is melted rubber that fly's off high performance tires during racing. Not easy to get off. AIO worked ok but Goof Off was really the key, did a nice job. The red one was difficult because it has no windows and I couldn't wash it with the pressure washer. They came out real nice considering all the road rash on the hoods and bumpers. The owner has been paying his son to detail the cars since he started racing 3 years ago. He said that he thought the rubber wouldn't come off and was very impressed with the results. He promissed me all of his business. He wants all five cars detailed after every race, each car races 3-5 times a year.
