Great choice Bobby,

Ryan Blanchette and I got to polish an original paint 1969... Do you like the '69 or '70 better?

I haven't seen a single car in this thread that I would consider a favorite. None of them would I ever pay significant sums of money for. I think Angelo was the closest to my taste with the Toyota, that is definitely a sweet ride!

I thought long and hard about this... there are many cars that I like, or love, or have a deep respect for, but to designate one as a favorite is a serious decision. Not something to be taken lightly.

For a while, I couldn't come up with something worthy of this lofty title. Nothing Italian, that's for sure, because I would want to be able to actually use the damn thing. Germans have never struck a cord with me, nothing against them really, I'm just not a fan. I'm not old enough to be nostalgic towards most American muscle cars, I've seen some really sweet ones, but they just don't resonate with me. Most modern cars just don't have enough soul and character for any of them to have significant staying power with me. British cars are just too quirky for me, I can dig a Morgan (especially with modern drivetrain!) but I would feel presumptuous driving one. This basically leaves me with Japan...

Of course! The one car that is deserving of this designation! The Nissan KGC10 'Hakosuka' Skyline! Such an obvious choice, really...

It would have to be mint. Absolutely flawless. Shimmering pearl white, perfect chrome, and an underbody cleaner than my laundry (which isn't saying much). Some moderate over-fenders, black, preferably carbon, with fender mounted mirrors of the same color or composite. It would look great sitting on some Panasports, or even a set of Watanabes, maybe even some OG Works, but then again SSR Professors are always a winning option. Then what should power this dream vehicle, maybe a fully built Robello L30, with a nice hot cam in it!? Or something a little more rare, like a venerable S20! I can even see a modern RB25DE gracing the bay of my beauty. ITB's a must, for all options.

It would be stripped down and stiffened up, everything short of a full cage while still being very streetable. Big brakes, and tight suspension a must. Basically a pro-touring build of a Japanese legend that still maintains the culture and look of it's era.

I got to see a Tucker Torpedo at Amelia Island a few years back. Absolutely cool car and even next to the Bugatti's, vintage Ferraris, and other amazing pieces of automobila it had the largest crowd. Simply awesome!

Aston Martin db9, I have several clients that have these, most beautifull car on the earth. The only convertible next to an Alfa 8c or jag e type that looks good top up or down
