2007 Nissan Frontier Nismo - Winter Detail

This is my baby so to say. I spent almost a year finding the exact one I wanted. It was almost flaswless besides a few swirls and scratches. The goal wasn't complete correction, as this is my daily driver and I'm sure someones will stick a cart or door in it again. I do not have too many befores as I was pressed for time, but you will see the improvement.

Products Used:
-Meguiars Hyper Wash
-XMT Speed clay (used their brand lubricant)
-Poorboy's SSR2.5 (sparingly)
-Poorboy's SSR1
-Poorboy's EX Sealant with Caranuba
-Poorboy's Natty's Red Paste

Hasn't been washed in 2 weeks so it was due. You see it never sees offroad, hardly anything on it

Hood had a few cat scratches from sliding down the hood :wall The hood and the fender was the only thing that really required SSR2.5.

After:

Passenger fender was marked up. I was able to remove 90% of the defects.

Note: The passenger side and hood was repainted a year or so ago due to an accident with the previous owner.

That's it for the before an afters. Couple shots of the progress next.

Can never be too careful (random shot I know...)

The extended cab door. The marks you see are in the bodywork and under the repaint. Still finished nicely.

Tailgate:

Drivers door had a minor scratch in it. Gently sanded it with some 2000 grit and believe it or not SSR2.5 polished it out.

After. Leveled out nice, to the untrained eye you can't see it hardly:

Here's the final shots this morning taken in the sun. Believe or not it rained this morning. Goes to show you how well the EX/Natty's combo works.

Where's that scratch? No, it's not the white mark on the left. :D

How soft is the paint? My wife's 05 Black Xterra is SUPER soft! Looks great!

The paint that is factory is super soft. It was trying to "hologram" on me with just a DA! I was severely nervous wetsanding out that scratch. The repainted side was harder, but surprisingly not hard enough to step up to SSR2.5 for the brunt of it. My 2004 Frontier wasn't as soft.

beautiful truck

Thank you, I try to keep it that way.

What pads are you using to finish down with?

SSR2.5 - LC CCS Orange for any deeper swirls.
SSR1 - LC CCS Gray for most of the work. (I've read others use the red or blue, but the gray seemed to have worked for me)

Hand applied the EX Sealant and Natty's, thin coats in sections. And you really can apply them in the sun like it says. Actually removes easier IMO.

Looks good man

Thank you!

Great work and awesome flake popping!

Yeah I never knew it had that much in it. Amazing what a polish will do! Thanks!

Nice job. I wish my daily driver looked like that :o

Not the most gas efficient DD out there, but I like the ride and power.

do you use tire dressing?

This time I didn't. Every once in a while I will, but the gravel driveway at work makes quick work of messing it up in a week

I bet the pictures don't even do that Frontier full justice. Got to love Nissan paint! Makes me miss my 240sx...Nismo<3

The truck looks really nice the poorboys stuff really seems to do a good job. I got some Natty's Red last month but haven't had a chance to use it. I was told it's not a very long lasting nuba do you have any experience on the longevity of it?
