Allergic to One Product
Yea, I think *some* might be made by CG. I like a lot of CG products, anyhow.I'm 99% sure SOME of Adam's products are CG relables.

me too!Yea, I think *some* might be made by CG. I like a lot of CG products, anyhow.
EXACTLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY my thoughts, Al.When I hear the word relabel I think same identical product with a different brand and do believe that Adam's and Griot's have custom formulations for many products.
.
I bought my first Adam's product last week - Super VRT (vynil, rubber, trim.) Used it on my black trim hoping it would last through a rain/wash or two and not run all over my paint if/when it rained. It didn't run on my paint, but it was gone as soon as it rained. Possible I could've done something wrong in using it - I am new to this. However, the guy at the place I got the Adam's product at didn't sound real thrilled with the product when he sold it to me - he just said it's better than the old one and that nothing works really well on trim.
In contrast, I used Chemical Guys Forever Gel and, while it lasted, it attracted dust like a magnet and ran down the panels as soon as it rained. Haven't tried anything else yet - plan to try the Gel again but this time buffing off excess, and also plan on trying Ultima's product along with PERL and Duragloss 271 - maybe nothing does really work. I thought the Super VRT price was a premium price and have to imagine something cheaper is available that will give at least the same result.
Did you clean the trim really well before applying? Was the trim completely dry? Prep is very important when it comes to trim restoration.I bought my first Adam's product last week - Super VRT (vynil, rubber, trim.) Nothing will, with the exception of Gtechniq C4.. It won't outlast Ultima Tire & Trim Guard+.
Yea, you should scrub the trim with APC or something similar, rinse well, and let completely dry. You should get better results this way.I didn't do any special prep...definitely was clean and dry, though. I dunno...maybe there was some Chemical Guys Forever Gel left and that caused the VRT to not be able to "bite" at all? I'll try it a few more times...it's probably me if others are getting along well with it. I just finally got a car worth detailing and started reading and throwing chemicals at it![]()
LOL! It can be!Trim is a flat out pain in the ass.
I never tried any of the Adams stuff. I was put off on it early on by the bad press it gets on being a relabled product. But seeing the positive responses here they may not be exactly true.
...plus I see a difference between relabel vs blending custom formulations...
