Anyone using this product or have any opinions on it.

Guy on another site is swearing by how clean his rims are staying even after 20 plus miles.

I'm all about clean rims and all but I can't see how this can fix that

Armor All - Product Detail

I've been reading a lot of good reviews on it too. I dunno - the last time I tried something like that was the Michelin stuff that appeared to be the same spray-on type stuff. I could never really tell all that much of a difference when I used it.

I'm reading the same JP, if I can get passed that its a AA product then it would be easier to try.

I may try and swing by the store and pick it up - my vehicle cleaning has been on hold, though. My back is killing me. I'm too young for these kinds of problems....

I have it on my rims right now. It works very well. It definitely keeps the brake dust from sticking to the rims. I've had it on my cars for a couple of weeks now. No need to use harsh detergents to wash the rims either. I just use the the leftover carwash to wash the rims. The dust washes right off with no effort. I was able to protect ten wheels with one can.

You can get a rebate and try the wheel protectant free.
JP I will be looking for your review of this product. :D

What about shipping?

The deal is you buy their protectant along with another one of their products that is $3.99 or more and then go to their website and print out the rebate coupon. Once you send it in, they'll mail you a refund of the amount you spent on the protectant.

I just bought some like 2 weeks ago and I think it definitely helps cut the brake dust in half on my 2008 cobalt ss (brembo brakes)

You are correct that is how it is done. :bigups

OK...I will bite. Seems like if you just spray it and leave it, it would leave a residue. No buffing????

Pretty good incentive if I can try it for free. :D
Free=Good :) Then again sometimes things are worth exactly what you pay for it...ummmmm....like my opinion here. :D

Yes, I find the usage directions a bit odd and perhaps overly cumbersome.

Usage Directions:
1. Make sure wheels are clean and dry.

2. Shake can well before use. Liberally spray product over entire wheel (rim). Do not touch wheel after application, as this will remove the protection.

3. Allow to dry 1 hour. Dry time will vary with the temperature. The longer you let Armor All® Wheel Protectant dry, the better the protection will be. Recommended application in temperatures above 65ºF.

That is what I was thinking also.
I don't want my shiny chrome wheels looking smudged or streaked.

I didn't see any residue, but my rims are bright silver and gunmetal. If there was any residue, it's pretty hard to see it on those colors. Since my rims aren't chrome, I can't say whether you'll be able to see the residue or not.

Just got a can of this and am excited to see the results ??

Not actually driving anywhere tonight but will update tomorrow after quick 100 mile trip I expect to take tomorrow

Well report back with the results.
Notice if it makes it any easier to clean the wheels after they are dirty

I was at a customers house recently doing his Porche G3 and 2 Lexus sedans. He insisted that I use his Eagle One waxes and Armor-All products, but I shut that down....I did end up trying this product out of curiosity though, and YES it does leave a hazy surface. Only a detailer would notice it, but it looks bad and I can't see it helping. I would just stick with Wheel Sealant or WheelWax, whatever else you have for brake dust.
