Very nice work! You just gotta love how easy engine details can be with the right tools. I charge between $60 and $80 for engine details and they are usually a lot dirtier than that, but the cleanup process is the same. Now that CD2 is back on the shelf I might drop my price a little, but they are going to remain a profit center for me. Pictures like that do the selling of engine detailing for me. I get calls specifically requesting just the engine detail. lol

CD-2 is for sale again?

Yup. $4.99 at AutoZone. Apparantly not every AutoZone is aware that it is available again, but several of the ones in my area are carrying it and it has been confirmed in other AutoZones all over the country. If yours isn't carrying it, then they should be made aware that they can. It beats the crap out of that Black Magic garbage that some stores believe is the appropriate replacement for CD2.

FWIW, I just did a spray and rinse with Amazing Roll Off on an engine that was not nearly as dirty as the one rycen did.
The results weren't even close. Spraying and rinsing the Roll Off left a lot of dusty, dirty areas that needed to be manually washed with a towel. Surprised and disappointed me.
The PB's evidently works much better. Can't compare since I don't have any. (Yet :))

CD2 Engine Detailer is an engine shine product. It is like spraying tire gloss all over your plastics and rubber under the hood, but in a way that won't damage anything. It is designed for engines and the heat they create. The company CD2 was aquired by Turtle Wax a few years ago I believe and at some point distribution was really limited. This year it has miraculously reappeared on the shelves at AutoZones and I'm loving it. I've never seen anything that works quite like CD2. There are other ways to achieve those results, but CD2 just makes it so easy...

Oh, and not to threadjack or anything, but here is an engine I did using the exact same process, but using Gunk foaming engine degreaser in place of the APC. I just sprayed that one, rinsed, dried and then CD2. It took about five minutes to detail this engine.

I'm not really worshiping anything in particular here other than the process. It is a way to achieve some pretty striking results. You still have to get in there with a brush and shop towels if you want show car results, but if you want a quickie with respectable results, then this is a good way to go.
