I think any wax will last me that long. I only used the Nattys on my garage queen about 4 times a year, and occasionaly on friends vehicles.
I did like the Nattys I just want to try something new!

I just called my local Harbor Frieght, they have the Collinite 845 for $12.99, I think Im going to give the stuff a try.

Make sure they start shaking it up today then. That stuff can get thick. I don't have another product like it. It's almost as if it sets up in the bottle. I have to sit it in the sun to get it shakeable it seems.

After reading all the posts about how thick the 845 was, I had to agree.
Reading several posts about how difficult it is to get it to a thinner consistency by shaking it, I had to go try my bottle.
1. It is about a year or so old
2. I hasn't been used since last fall, stored in a 70 degree basement
3. It probably was ready to be used with less than 30 seconds of shaking
Has it been changed since I purchased mine?
It really was no problem at all to shake it a little and have it ready to use.

Well they only had the Collinite paste at Harbor Freight so I didnt get anything. Guess I will have to place my order online, now Im considering the Clearkote again.
I thought I could find the Collinite OTC so thats what made it more appealing.

No, I don't suppose. It is just really thick, but after shaking for a minute after being in the sun, it's normal consistency.

Like I said earlier, try parts stores like Autozone. Look in the marine section.
If you had gone to the Collinite website, you might have seen the contact info for the distributor for Chicago.

I decided to go with the Clearkote CMW. I applied a coat on my car last night, did half of the hood at first so I could compare it with Nattys blue. Honestly I really couldnt see much of a difference, the Clearkote may look just a hair more wet but the Natty's seemed to leave the paint just a little more slick.
I didnt care for the smell of Clearkote CMW especially compared to Nattys but it was the easiest carnuba wax Ive worked with to date, buffed off with little to no effort. Overall Im happy with my purchase.

Pinnacle Liquid Souveran and Collinite 845 are my favorites. As for finding 845 @ Harbor Freight, ask someone to check in the back.

I'll post pics next weekend when I pull my car back out of the garage. I kind of regret not putting a coat of FK300 underneath the Clearkote, I'll probably just apply another coat of wax instead.

Yeah, they only sold the paste at the Harbor Freight I went to. But I do plan on trying Collinite 845 after my Clearkote CMW runs out.

Couple more questions...
I have a problem with using too much product, I tried using a couple different types of foam applicators but I just dont like them, I prefer using MF applicators but those do tend to absorb alot of the product.
Do you guys have any tips or applicator reccomendations that would help me with using too much product?
Also, Im going to a car meet this weekend and Im wondering if it would be possible to top the Clearkote CMW with Megs #7 glaze for some added shine?

well - I'm on my second bottle of "Pinnacle Liquid Souveran" do any of you notice how it gets really dusty on the wipe off?
I let it haze on the car and then proceed to wipe it off, after a couple of panels of wiping, there is dust build up. Frustrating!
Pros:
- A little dime size amount goes a long way.
- It's one of the easiest waxes in the world to wipe off in the sun or shade.
Cons:
- It gets dusty on the wipe off
- the shine is "ok" not the greatest.
- Doesn't seems to last all that long on the vehicle.

The best advice that I can tell you is what I learned from putting on to much product. I suffered the same malady for quite some time and was frustrated. I took the following step to resolve the issue. USE LESS PRODUCT.
I am serious. If you are using less product on the pad less product will go on the paint and less will be absorbed by the applicator. It is the same with all sealants that I have used. LESS IS MORE.
I use a yellow foam pad to achieve the results that I am looking for. But I am sure that the same applies to any type applicator that you would choose. It is almost as if ....when you can see the product on the paint you have put to much on.

Yeah I know, I try doing that but I always think Im not covering everything when I cant see it.
Just for reference about how much wax would you use to cover a door of a mid size car?

I cannot truthfully answer that because I do not have a mid-size car. I use less than an ounce on my truck and a little more than one half ounce on my wife's Chrysler 300.
Another way to keep it in check is to transfer one ounce or the intended amount you plan to use into a small container. That way there is no doubt and you can see how much you use as you go through the detail.

I would think on a midsize car, one door panel would probably be about one or two beads on your applicator roughly the size of a nickel...
Less is definetly better if not for the reason of being easier to remove...as well as getting more out of it...
