If I want to top a sealant with Natty's red how long do I need to wait?
Thanks,
SCDetail
I jsut finished my jet black BMW with the red...I found it quite bling bling...even more so than the blue Nattys....I did my car last week with some FK1 pink hand glaze...then two days later I applied the Nattys...that was Sunday...today I topped it with the red.
My impression is that it is a bit harder to get off than I felt the blue was...I do use QD while removing it...but I worked in quarter panels only on the car...two reasons...I like to keep tight control over the paint...two I didn't want the red to set-up to dry as I was finding it a bit hard to get off.
Pics will follow
I thought it was harder to get off when I first used it to. Now when I use it I spray S&G on a microfiber applicater, apply it very thin, and let it dry completely. This changed my mind quickly as it became alot easier to remove. I think I put it on to thick the first time, and was probably to hasty in removing it.![]()
I have no experience with the other natty's waxes but I didn't think the RED was not hard to take off at all. I've done about a half dozen customer cars with it so far and LOVE the stuff. I spray My applicator with QD then a few panels with some QD and just lay it on REALLY thin. I go over the entire car before I wipe off and it only takes one real quick walk around and wipe down to get it perfect. After 7 apps it barely looks like I've made a dent in the jar. This is just my experience thus far but the QD and REALLY thin coats seem to be the keys.
I found that the longer/drier the wax was on the car the easier it was to take off. Naturally the places/spots where the wax was on the thickest the harder it was to remove. However at no time did I think the Red was difficult( a few more quick wipes) to come off.
