Pay Attention Boy...
I have used OP three different times and it just doesn't perform well for me. I love the long working time, the performance depending on the pads chosen (Cyclo), the nice finish, but I'm just plain disappointed in it as far as removing bad marring. I am very careful not to use too much product. Am I expecting too much from it? I have read where some folks mix Optimum Hyper Compound with the polish and seem to have the best of both worlds.....long working time, smooth finish, and removing the marks/marring/webs/whatever you care to call it.
I'm to the point where I'm either going to trade/sell/pitch the stuff or spring for the Hyper Compound and try the blend. I may have used one ounce of the OP total, if that.
Anyone with experience with these two care to offer some advice?
Today I did a red/burgundy Taurus using OP. I hit the same area twice, once with orange pads, the next with yellow. It barely touched the marks on the paint. I changed to fresh orange pads & broke out the Poorboys 2.5. Zing! The marks are 90% gone after one pass but you must deal with the dusting......not pleasant but it worked.
There's got to be a middle ground here somewhere....
Thoughts?
