I do believe I`m being mocked...

...for excessively wordy postings, which I will freely admit to. I shall try to limit all future product comments to:

1. Shiny
2. Not shiny

That is all.

lol as a former Z abuser who had well over 30 coats on z2/z5 on the same exact car I have now....I say add me to a footnote in that dissertation of yours as someone who disagrees with whoever posted that

can you pm me where this debate is hosted so I can play? (love me some good subjectivism on a Sunday)

Heh heh...wonder what any 1st year Psych student would say about the urge to be critical like that (i.e., the "PhD dissertations" quip).

Heh heh#2, imagine what it`d be like if I were to write up a thorough version of how I wash :o

Coming from that time when Zaino was ALL there was; nothing else was even close, and it DID put gloss on vehicles, it is obvious that the poster was probably not even born yet, and for sure, has NOT even grasped the concept of "even, thin, coats", which alone is another one of the best things to come from a Zaino background..

It`s all in good fun...makes me wonder if 2 identical cars, side by side, Zaino v my favorite coating, would I be able to tell a difference? How closely would I have to look? Would I prefer one over the other in a describable way?

I did think Zaino was great when I used it and never really looked at paint the way I do now.

A gloss meter is the only way to really settle these disputes. At some point, these will catch on with manufacturers and detailers as a way to prove their (product/service) superiority.

Ha, ha I was literally just reading that thread over there. Gonna polish off the Wolfgang coating next week and finally put the HPC on.

Years ago I used Zaino and received lots of comments about the "shine" although I also received comments saying it looked like "plastic" with little depth. I didn`t see what the commenters were driving though. I`m sure they were "experts".

I would take that as a compliment. Someone finally gave Dr. BudgetPlan1 the recongnition he deserves :D

Keep on preaching doctor.

I agree with the above accolades that "Dr" BudgetPlan1 has received for his "dissertations" on ANY detailing subject. I, personally, think that his write-ups are thorough and pictures of his detailing abilities are visible proof that `actions speak louder than words." It is one of the reasons I subscribe and read his posts and that of MANY other "Autopian All-Stars" who take the time to type up their reviews, opinions, and experiences within vehicle detailing products and equipment and post pictures of those experiences. As I have said before, I am indebted to the those of you who do such within this forum that has the greatest impact on my choices for those products and equipment and how to properly use them for the best results.
Does that make as good as BudgetPlan1? NO!! Not even close, nor do I pretend (or portend) to exhibit those abilities. Do I agree with everything I read in this forum about detailing? NO!!!
Do individuals have a right to "disagree" and say so"? Yes, that is what First Amendment Rights and "free speech" are about. Notice, however, it`s SPEECH. Not written, not typed or printed. It`s verbal from YOUR MOUTH to someone else. The internet and web has empowered individuals to print (say) ANYTHING under the guise of anonymity without repercussions to their character or person. That is an unfortunate but unintended consequence of the digital media we all live with. This mockery, insults, defamation, ect. by anyone about anyone through this digital media needs to be taken with a grain of salt. We used to say , "Consider the source" in verbal conversations. Now we do not know the digital source!!
This subject and the "flaming" or "he-said-she-said" character assassinations used to be ,well, "interesting" reading in this detailing forum, but it gets old fast; like reality TV. I have my own life to live and enough of life`s things to do to rather than waste my time on watching (reading) "garbage".
ANYWAY, I`ll get off my soapbox. (It`s about time, Captain Obvious, because as Mark Twain once said, "No one is saved in a church after the first five minutes of a good sermon anyway"!)

A few things come to mind:
1. Once you know it all, the real learning begins
2. It`s always better to keep your mouth shut and let people think your stupid, instead of opening your mouth and proving their right.
3. God gave you two ears and one mouth, ever wonder why?

He`s goot prove to the world he`s a "pro detailer"...

yeah

The "goot" will get ya every time. Ease up both of you. Emphatically stated 200%!!! Now there`s some in depth, empirical data for ya.
BP1-as usual awesomeness. I and other`s appreciate the time-money-effort you put forth testing and reporting your ( to me) un-colored conclusions. Thank you!!

And here I thought the "Zaino Wars" were dead after all this time !!!!!
I was looking into the old Zaino discussions, ran across one thread somewhere and it discussed people driving around NJ looking for the Z factory, if the building at one place looked like a production or office HQ...brand sure does inspire passion on both sides.
