look at this gem i found today

its thru the paint, easy finger nail deep

I deduced it down to had to of happened at the vet as thats the only time I was away from my car recently and this was not there when I filled up with gas yesterday.

thru the csl, exo and all the si and ti and wax toppings


I`m guessing wet sanding is my only option? i doubt compoundung will fix this

I have a color matching touch up pen the Dupli-Color whatever one they sell at AutoZone

I don`t even want to mess with it today but I need to address this over the weekend
 
Might be doggy paws. Touch up paints can be tough with metal flake paints. I know this won`t make you feel better but your description sounds worse than the picture looks. ;)

I think its totalled (in my head)

ugh just one more thing to deal with, oh well its been a great day otherwise

still sticks out pretty easily if you ask me and now i have a square thats a little different shade but at least its not as bad...wish it was on passenger side, im gonna see this every time I walk to my car and get in or fill up with gas
 
Ouch, sorry man. That stinks. Not telling you to cover up any of that beautiful paint, but a bandaid decal would add some humor to the situation.
 
Brandt, try some wool and some heavier cutting power product and see what that does for you. I think you can knock it down more than that.

I have some purple thin wool pads (3.5 inch) that I bought for headlights (unused).

I don`t know have much stronger than the rupes blue, maybe aat or uber compound I guess.
