*UPDATE ON PAINT TEST*
So long story short, no burn through after really trying to the point where my pad melted/shredded/deformed. For details and pics continue reading below.
Took readings of one spot that I marked the size of the pad, to stay on the same spot for sure. Readings before and after cutting and polishing session using orange light cutting/M105 and black finishing pad/M205 were pretty much the same 2.7 Mils / 70 Microns and there was swirl removal.

For the burn through test spot , I took the yellow pad which has the heaviest cut of them 3,some M105 and I just left it on the same spot for almost a full minute increasing the speed to pretty much a speed I personally wouldn`t use. Nothing, no burn through. Tried it again for 30 seconds, more product and higher speed, stopped and added more product then continued for another 30 seconds and nothing . Tried it aggressively (more than necessary really) on a panel edge and nothing either. it removed the swirls and cleaned the area nicely, but no burn through.

NOTE: Just because I did not experience burn through, does not mean that you will not. As most of us know, finishes will vary in thickness and "hardness" and I`m sure my test hood is a respray because normally this vehicle year/model is single stage and this hood is not plus when it was on the vehicle there was a yellowing to it compared to an actual SS panel. Also, if you plan on JUST getting the angled attachment like the one mikejames showed, I`d recommend doing what he did and getting BOTH so you can also have the flex attachment because your rotary tool (if like mine) will get pretty hot.
I hope this info helps.
Yeah I cranked it up to near max speed and was still able to control it, I just knew my pad was getting destroyed at that point. My only "complain" would be that there`s quite a bit of vibration, but at the same time it`s a tool that I`ll be using all the time so I`m not concerned.
Yeah, it`s literally "the slow boat from China"

So, I actually put all the items in a cart on aliexpress, one month of shipping?! Yikes:blink:
I haven`t used mine as much as you have Migue, but I haven`t noticed much vibration with my setup.
I noticed your extension is "beefier" on the hand grip area, maybe yours has better energy absorption since mine is hard plastic and slimmer.
I got the autotriz nano hooked up to a flex rotary
Proxxon Angle Polisher WP/E
I have seen this one and like everything about the Proxxon except the price. If it was priced around the $100 or less price range it could be a good deal. I would think they would sell a ton of them at a lower price.
Item #38660
ia anotherone, looks more like a nano ..corded and rotary only
A few of us have been talking about a cheap Ibrid nano alternative. There was even a thread awhile back with some comments here http://www.autopia.org/forums/paint-correction-and-gloss-enhancement/186780-cool-dremel.html
I ordered 1" and 2" pads and backing plates with 3mm shanks to go along with my variable speed rotary tool, right angle attachment, and flex hose. It works great to get into tight spots like door handles, around mirrors, bumpers, door jams, painted window trim, ect. The key to this setup is a variable speed rotary tool. With the 1" pads I use speed 2 or 3 depending on how much pressure applied to the pad and which pad I`m using. With 2" pads I use speeds 3,4,or 5 depending on pad and pressure. Both the right angle attachment or the flex hose works great with the pads, just have to remember it`s a rotary and to keep the pad moving. Here are some pic`s of the setup.
