Autopia Connect!

Shipping times depend on where you live. Here`s our UPS Ground shipping map:

florida-map.gif

Keep in mind these are transit or business days. So if an order is placed on Friday night at 9pm, the first day it is eligible to ship is Monday. If the order arrives on Wednesday, it took 2 business days to arrive (Monday - shipped, Tuesday - Day One, Wednesday - Day Two).

Technically 5 days have passed, but only two business days for shipping. No apologies needed! We`re just trying to make sure everything is working how it`s supposed to. If you`d like I can send you over more detailed info on your orders like when they where placed and more detailed tracking information.

With standard ground shipping on the west coast it can take over a week if you run into the weekend. For example to California it takes 5 days. So if you order on Wednesday and it ships Thursday...Friday would be Day One and the following Thursday would be Day 5 even though technically 8 days have passed.

I dream of a day we can have a warehouse on the west coast...

Hey 4 days to Alaska? Nice!! If I`m there and I need stuff that`s really good! Usually stuff takes a long time to get there.

Wow. I`m in the one day zone. This must just be a guide for larger cities. The small town I live in has a tiny UPS drop off in a crappy convenience store. The regular mail is very slow too. FedEx is the fastest way to ship something here. I understand it is not that way everywhere. I`m going to talk to my UPS guy. I do get medication from the VA in 1-2 days via UPS. I just placed an order today. Let`s see what UPS does.

I`ve been having the same dream!

If/when it happens, please make it in So Cal. I`ll stop in from time to time with donuts or pizza (or salads. love my lunch salads [sarcasm])

In other news....I consistently get my packages on that 5 day mark. So that`s good.

My connect orders (that are supposed to be 3 days or less) have mostly been 4 days. I would say at least 60% of them. I never really complained cause of the great deal that already was CONNECT but it always sorta bothered me a bit.

I said in one of my posts that Amazon was not shipping quick and they proved me wrong. I got one day shipping on an item. I was really surprised. I ordered something at around 11 am and got it the next day by 2 pm. Impressive. My average is 4 days after I place an order.

Your problem is that you live in California. In California the UPS guys are busy enjoying their marijuana breaks and they don`t move as fast as the meth addicts in more conservative states.

(I hope y`all find that funny. That`s how I intended it.)

Yeah that is actually really funny because I smell it a lot here!!

Ok just my 2cents on auto-connect. Being a hobbyist I spent WAY to much money on stuff I will never use for our personal cars. I found myself listening to hype on products and bought them some good some bad because of auto-connect so no big deal if they bring it back or not for me. I will just keep a list and droll the sites for deals.

Now professionals like auto-connect to help with their costs on getting supplies.

It would be nice if we heard one way or another and auto-connects future.

Off soap box

I know I`m new here, so this probably isn`t going to be valued all that much, plus I only do this as an hobby / addiction to my cars and my close friends....but I would love to have an opportunity to sign up for Connect. Especially since it`s still advertised in all the emails I receive, to include the one to sign up for an account.

If it makes ya feel better, you`re certainly not alone...and I wasn`t even part of Connect. Took me the last 9 months to finally nail down what works best for me going forward. My credit card is lonely and doesn`t come out much any more.

I agree with you except that I do value Connect. I love it. I`m no pro. In fact, I haven`t even worked my way up to amateur yet. (edited post)

But "Bring me the best deal you can find and I`ll match it and give you an additional 10% off," free shipping with no minimum, and double rewards points (they add up) mean a lot to me.

But that`s a character fault of mine. I try to keep up with the Joneses (actually just Ronkh) and appreciate those Connect benefits.

It is very, very true that without Connect one can still get excellent deals here. Just keep a running list and when it hits US$150, you`re probably going to be eligible for free shipping on your order, which by itself is worth two Corvettes, a Jetta, and a partridge in a pear tree.
