I know this is like "haha, funny conservative meme!" but you understand that you simply cannot compare the two, right? And frankly it`s a little insulting to even do so. Sexual assault isn`t funny. You`re stripping a person of their personal dignity and safety. That book is a work of fiction that allows suburban women to live out absurd fantasies completely safely and they are free to put it down or pick it up whenever they want. Trump has been recorded saying he can take advantage of women because of his personal status. Infidelity and moral values aside, that`s criminal behavior. He wasn`t just using naughty words, so don`t downplay it.

I`m not going to get into a debate here because I don`t have a horse in this race. I won`t downplay Hillary`s crimes if you don`t downplay Trump`s. They`re both deplorable and woefully out of touch human beings who should be nowhere near taking the reins of the free world. It`s literally that simple.
 
I can HONESTLY say that I have never in my life groped a woman. I was truly shocked as I got home from work and turned on the news, my wife and I were both appalled at first then upset that this man has been allowed to act in that manner.

IMO one`s choice of spouse says a lot about that person`s values....so any marriage does say something about both the Husband and Wife, and that something might be worth considering.

If we`re going to essentially start hanging every man who has ever made a lewd comment about an attractive female, or god forbid let their ego get the better of them for a few moments and say something *very* R-rated...we would probably never elect another male President again.

All this "scandal" really proves is that Trump has an ego, and likes good looking women. Were either of these ever disputed? If you are truly concerned with white knighting women, why don`t you go after the wife of a man who sexually victimized many women back in his heyday? That same woman bullied and intimidated those females to keep their mouths shut and not seek help. Why do we now live in a world where mere words are considered more heinous that actions?

While I`m not a huge fan of Trump, I can`t stand this assault on masculinity. This is the real world. Men say lewd things about hot chicks to each other in private among friends. People need to harden up and get over themselves.

But that`s the problem, he didn`t just "say" those comments, he acted on them as well. I`m sorry but there is a big difference between someone simply talking and someone actually acting on what they are saying. He also admitted to trying to act on a married woman as well. I`m married, and if anyone ever tried anything like that on my wife I`d flip out! Dismissing this as "Trump has an ego" is just not right in so many levels. Having an ego does not give anyone the right to touch women or make unwanted advances towards them, in any way, fashion, or form.

You guys are in hilarious/scary amounts of denial here. "Real masculinity" isn`t walking up to a woman and grabbing them, which is what Trump said he could do(and does). Do you need a transcript? Here you go:

Trump: "Yeah that`s her with the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I`m automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It`s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don`t even wait. And when you`re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the *****. You can do anything."

That is past the point of lewd comments. That is him explicitly condoning advancing on women regardless of what they want because he`s famous/rich/powerful.

Him being disgusting and Hillary going after those women from back in the day are not mutually exclusive in their abhorrence. Two wrongs don`t make a right.

The left always wants to claim this moral high ground with their holier than thou attitude, and it just doesn`t work this time when their candidate has done arguably worse things than Trump.

Both of these candidates are so beyond morally corrupt that I just couldn`t care less about this story. That doesn`t mean I don`t think it`s wrong. I just don`t wanna hear this preachy "oh my god, how dare he?" crap from the left when their candidate has 0 moral ground to stand on.

As far as I`m concerned, any moral arguments from either side need to be thrown out so the focus can be turned to actual policy. Unfortunately we`re not going to hear any of that from now until November because it`s just turned into a crap slinging soap opera with both candidates dodging any kind of real answer to anything that matters

I completely agree. The moral argument will not be won by either side here. All policy and actual administration questions have inexplicably taken a back seat to these Jerry Springer shenanigans.

Show me a proven instance in which he randomly groped another woman in a manner that`d constitute as sexual assault, and then we will talk.

Again...we are comparing actions to words. Let`s not even try to start equating serial infidelity and sexual victimization with R-rated boy`s night out banter. To try and do so is not a reasonable line of logic whatsoever. Also, show me one proven instance in which Trump randomly walked up to a woman and started feeling her up. I hear all this talk of "he also acted upon it", when no one can recall a single provable example of it happening. Trust me, you can get away with a LOT more in politics than in business.

To respond to your comment about what constitutes "real masculinity", of course lewd comments don`t define someone as masculine. That is, however, what most guys do in private among friends they feel comfortable opening up with. It`s 0.1% of the typical male personality, but it does exist in that matrix. I yield to Ronkh`s comment of "you`re either being dishonest, or you`re a much better man than us" about denying making that kind of talk.

Commenting on womens appearances in ways that would probably be offensive? Sure. Guilty. Ive done that. But never have i said the type of things that were on that tape.

While youre right that all we have are his words and it could be potentially seen as him embellishing, the fact remains that talking about grabbing womens genitals without their consent is far over the line of boy banter. Thats the type of thing you dont joke or talk about with the guys. Talking about things like that is where empathy normally steps in and stops you from sounding like a psycho.

If you wont concede that point then I have nothing left to say to you because there`s no point in banging my head against a wall or arguing with someone who defines guy banter as talking about grabbing on women.
 
Can`t get myself to watch those cackling hens on that show, but that`s the same show that called Billy`s victims tramps right?

Come on man...you and I both know guy banter sometimes goes beyond just that. Not often, and not always appropriate even in private among male friends, but it happens when people get ahead of themselves. I`ve let some highly inappropriate jokes and comments out in my day, and have still managed to never physically or verbally assault a woman. Clinton was by all accounts a rather "Presidential" man, unlike Trump who talks like a high school jock, but he`s actually been found guilty of victimizing women. Now here is where the conversation gets interesting...why is it that we tolerate people like rap artists saying far worse things about abusing women and promoting violence and crime over public airwaves all day, but lose our minds when an egotistical man makes an incredibly lewd comment in private? This just doesn`t make any sense to me. What Trump said is of course pretty disgusting when taken at face value, but what`s out there in public on a 24/7 basis is far worse.

I am not trying to defend the Donald, what I am trying to draw attention to is that we`re hammering on people for all the wrong things. Does the fact that the Clintons have actually sexually victimized people and intimidated them into silence minimize the inappropriateness of what Trump said? Not a chance, but no one of sound mind can`t resign to the fact actions are at least 1,000x more impactful than words, especially in this case. There are much better things to bash him on, like him thinking he can actually force companies where to build their products. When it comes to the topic of respect towards women, it`s the Clintons who deserve the most scrutiny. On many other things, it`s Trump. We have to stop letting our political affiliations convince us to give people who`ve done far worse in a certain regard a pass, and demonize the other guy for doing something *comparatively* mild of the same flavor.

This election is depressing enough, let`s not lose our own ability to think logically just because our leaders have.
 
I just find that the Trump supporters are hypocrites. I expect some to vote for Trump but do not tell me his morality is better than anyone else.

We were told by the right Bill Clinton was not fit to be president due to his moral shortcomings. Now, the Republicans nominate someone who has moral short comings too and now we are being told it is not important. The Christian right has always claimed their candidates were moral God loving/fearing people and now we have one that is not yet they defend him after some weak apology (similar to Bill`s apology). Then we hear their spouses are important to deflect the discussion. For Trump, which of the 3 do we judge?

The conservative kool aid machines like Breithbart goes with gossip stories like Hillary has a potty mouth and Chelsea is a spoiled brat to change the narrative.
 
I think there`s 2 types of people that are voting for Trump. Those that want to just send a huge middle finger to the establishment, and those that are going to plug their nose and vote for him just to stop Hillary. You can`t throw all conservatives into a Trump supporter camp....keep in mind 60+% (and in some states much higher) of the primary voters didn`t vote for him and don`t want him, but now we`re stuck with him

I really don`t care that hilly has a potty mouth (mine is probably much worse), I don`t care that the kid is a spoiled brat..........

What I do care about is that she is the most corrupt government person (not official at present), that has sold our uranium to the Soviets, squandered our national secrets, has nothing as a agenda except tax and spend, and basically has contempt for how this nation was founded.

Some people are very short sighted as far as words and actions go. (super predators that must be brought to heel........)

Is Trump the best we have to offer ? NO.


Is Trump a better choice than Clinton? YES!
