Random thoughts thread

I was using my Master Blaster Sidekick and thought I haven`t seen a single thread of anything this company makes fail. I`m guessing a lot of people own Sidekicks and some - Master Blasters (me, both)... But nothing this company makes seems to break.

Good point

Umm...Auction is getting interesting to say the least...

I`m humbled and now feel I will have some big shoes to fill.

275 bid
Beat by 300 just now

I`m just a guy with some tools and bottles of stuff.

But i did upgrade reload to Synergy (ron had me worrying)

Only negative i ever found is price
And thats subjective IMO

Btw do u use it for jams and misc or drying whole car?

I have a Master Blaster and the vacuum. I have had issues with air leakage on the end cap of the Master Blaster (had to use plumber`s rope to seal better_ and the the end cap of the vacuum is loose (had to use a spacer to tighten fit). If I had to address the prior issues but no issues with the motor.

Saturday morning bidding war has the donation detail auction at 325 currently and I`m betting the Hellcat owner will top the other guys bid.

edit: Hellcat owner topped to 350 now

For $350 you need to throw in a coating. Maybe some DP coating. Nothing too expensive and top it with the Synergy. Easy for me to spend your money, right?

So what if it gets to 400? i hoped for 150, 200max at the end.

Problem is, If they were betting on a tangible object, this quandary would never exist.

I`m placed in an awkward position. I`ve said this dozens of times... I`m no Pro, and this 1 step detail is being bet at Pro Coating prices because I am donating 100% of it to the charity.

What I`ll be able to do (above the clearly specified and suggested $ amount detail) ultimately depends on how long they can leave the car with me.

I have no problem going above and beyond at this point because they have as well, but I have to draw a line somewhere. I just don`t know how squiggly the line will be yet.

Toss is some microfibers and some samples you have lying around. Maybe even ask (beg) Vega to donate to the cause. Put everything in a small gift bag. If it goes higher just remember they are giving to charity and some people give without expecting too much. Don`t stress too much, I`m sure your best will be better than they expect!

This is part of the original op package. I figure 200 for the 1 step and about 40 in value of the stuff (perhaps im cheap on my prices)

I hardly ever use the Master Blaster since I started using DI water. It`s just too big and unwieldy.

I use the Sidekick for everything. Drying wheels. Blowing grass out of the garage. Blowing dust / dead gnats off the car. Blowing crevices dry in the car. Yesterday I used it to blow all the grass off my riding mower.

I use DI water in the rinseless solution - so I often let the car drip dry and go over it with a QD. But, wheels and jambs will take days to dry without the Sidekick...

AGH!

Been slowly getting the Jetta back up to snuff for trade-in. Yea, that`s going to be fun to fix! Self inflicted, pulled too close to the push mower.

Ouch! I moved my mower out of the side wall and placed it on the wall in front of the car, maybe you have room to do the same and it could help?

I have too little space and too much equipment...

Something`s gonna have to give when a truck is in its spot...

I have gotten to the point where I`ll park it just anywhere. Back when I first bought the Camry I was parked way out there and a lone shopping cart got the gas lid. I`m just not meant to have anything nice. I`m gonna bubble-wrap my next vehicle.

I`d only paid 10 grand for my truck but I treat it like it cost 80

I plan to do that with hopefully a new truck soon. Hopefully it will fit in the garage; it will be an extended cab like my old Nismo, so I`m pretty sure it will fit. After this winter I`ve decided a 4wd truck needs to be in the stable. The Jetta`s a great little car, but with a house and harsher winters, its usefulness is lacking.

haha that`s what we do! I paid $2k for mine and treat it like i paid full price back when it came out, especially with the new paint job. Currently sits in the garage while the car purchased last year (which is a 2012 model) sits outside, but since it gets driven daily i don`t like my GF going in and out of the garage due to how tight it can get. Once i clear up some more space( i want to switch from plastic shelves to wall pegs for more space) i should be able to fit both in there more comfortably.

On other randomness : rented the Hateful 8 since i didn`t catch it in theaters, it was very good, slow start up but it is for a reason which is worth waiting for once it starts unleashing.

So I decided to offer a two-step polish and coating IF they`re willing to leave me the car for more than a day. 350 is now 375 with an inevitable counter coming.
