Random thoughts thread

I was working outside so much this week and I had a lot of foot traffic come by. Just booked one of my neighbors for Monday AND got the day off ( paid vacation)--wow I`m gonna make a lot of money that day. lol

My neighbor with the blue harley (wet ice over fire) came by when I was washing the charger and said...he had a complaint...that he almost got into three wrecks, one because he was staring at the flake, two because he was staring at the chrome (both when driving) and three because he almost hit his wall in the garage because it was just too reflective, his bike
Lol

I though at first he had a legitimate complaint.

It figures I picked the week with the most rain to go to Florida. But even with all the storms, it was a great week and I met a lot of great people. And soon, I`ll officially be a south Florida resident!

It`s amazing how much stuff you don`t realize you have until you start selling it off. Trying to unload as much stuff as I can before heading to Florida next week and it seems never ending.

I filled the back of my truck (frontier) up TWICE with junk from my spare bedroom just so I could move detailing supplies in there

half the reason I bought my house was because I didn`t want to pack anything up and have to deal with moving

Helped a friend buy a Yamaha R6 yesterday and had to ride it back home for her (she`s a new rider).

The R6 is an awesome bike and a completely different type of bike, but the 45 minute ride home really put back into perspective how amazingly fast my ZX-14R is.

Yeah, moving is about as fun as painting. But for this trip, we`re just going to load up one of those Pods and have it taken down with whatever stuff we need to take or doesn`t sell. Much easier than dealing with a rental truck or trailer.

Fast move

I was supposed to be here another week, but work is so slow that when I turned in my notice they told me to just be done. So I`m starting earlier that way I have less time without my paycheck. My wife will still be here though until the house sells.

Nice. I like the look of the R6`s (even more so than my old GSXR), but ergonomically, I wasn`t a fan. Going to coat the bike for her?

They`ll both be getting one! Hopefully soon! I`ve love to do it this weekend.

Ya I was surprised how comfortable it was. And yep. I`m going with Optimum Gloss-Coat on mine and Crystal Serum Light + GTechniq Exo on hers.

waiting for that review...heck,,waiting for ANY CSL + EXO review....really interested in that product on a friend`s car

I`ve been following up with everyone who`s been using it and I`ve been hearing great things. Now we`re having trouble keeping it in stock. I`m already familiar with EXO (:10:) but I`d love to get some hands on time with CSL.

Be happy it`s just at work.

I had to get rid of my last motorcycle partially because they put in a speed bump at the only exit. Well, they were actually above ground slides but the point is my bike did not fit over them. :/. Sometimes gated communities suck.

Sorry to hear about that. Such conditions in my area have been a *huge* factor in my having basically given up driving "fun cars" (along with my being unable to enjoy driving highly capable cars at Public Road Speeds). The S8 isn`t low by most standards (inches higher than my last `vette or the Porsches were) yet I simply cannot use it to run errands as it can`t get in/out of lots without scraping.

I have zero idea how all the low vehicles I see deal with this, but eh, that`s not my problem...I know what works/doesn`t for *me*. Heh heh, and people wonder whether I want to lower the Crown Vic with its curb-jumper suspension ("No way, that`s why I`m driving it!").
