Another don't have spinal surgery without trying everything else first. IN 1997 I was scheduled to have my back operated on, have a herniated disk removed and have 2 fused.
I ended up reading a book by Dr John Sarno of NYU

My FIL was a Dr at NYU and suggested I see this guy. I called and he the good Dr told me he is booked for a few weeks but to read his book and if Im still in pain to keep the appointment. You know it really helped and I never saw the DR or had the surgery.
Not sure your condition so you should not listen to me on the internet, I'm just sharing my experience.
A coworker recommended that book. Haven't had a chance to start reading it yet.
