Best sealant for that deep wet look with some pop

I rotate through three wax toppers and I haven't decided which I like the most. All are spectacular on dark colors: Pinnacle Souveran, Dodo Juice Supernatural and the sleeper wax of the century nobody mentions - Victoria Concours - the red stuff.

Ok let's switch gears to the top coat of wax - which wax is your go to, again looking for the swim in the finish look. And let me know if the wax works well with a specific sealant.

I will top Meguiar's M21 or Ultimate Wax with M26 for my personal cars.

My 99 Grand Prix - Ultimate Liquid Wax topped with M26

In direct sun light this combo made my car look lighter than it actually is.

Sealers: Menz Power Lock is the best bang for the buck, like BFWD but a lot less $$. Tried Poxy - stinks like a moldy old house, easy to use though but doesn't last long, Nitro - way too expensive for what you get, tried once - didn't get more. Megs 21 and Ultimate wax- easy to use, and well they ought to be, you'll be waxing every 4-5 weeks. DG105 isn't bad and it's cheap. Now, I've started doing Prima Amigo followed by Epic on my own cars and so far, 2 months, the results are very good. Not sure I'm going to re-order Menz PL or Epic when the bottle gives out. I really think I will try that Sonax stuff everyone is talking about, and that's saying a lot for me - I don't have the try everything bug anymore.

Only "beauty wax" I use is Souveran, and I only use that on the Jag. For anything else I can get the look I want with something truly durable that offers good protection, and without [messing] around with layering different products.

I would go with Menz PL also as the best all around sealant (cost, ease of use, looks). For max bling, I would suggest Wolfgang Deep Paint Sealant especially for metallics. It has a nice bright look.

If you're planning on Poxy, I can say from experience that Natty's Blue paste and/or DoDo Blue Velvet look great on top, with no issues.

I see I'm not the only person with some odd opionions regarding LSP-paint combos...like, my wife loved Souveran on Audi silver (who does that?!?) and, OTOH, I utterly hated P21s on the sorta-silver/metallic gray ("Rhodium Silver Metallic") Jag.

#845 now that's old school

Heh heh, not quite as old school as the M16 I use on my wife's car, that stuff dates to the 1950s, and I'm still using the Pre-VOC formulation :D

I'm really liking Auto Finesse Essance. If you use Auto Finesse Rejuvinate right before the Essence your paint is so slick. The gloss they put off is amazing.

I've seen little or no evidence for the claimed virtues of layering waxes over sealants. If you want a sealant I'd use Prima Hydro Maxx. It is second only to SONAX PNS for dust and pollen not clinging among all the sealants I've tried and very quick and easy to apply. To my eye the looks are in the same ballpark as BF WD AFPP or 4*UPP, Hydro Maxx is not one of those plastic-y looking sealants. If you decide to go the wax route which may give you more wetness and depth be aware that dust cling comes as part of the package with any wax, some are worse than others but none are as good as sealants in this regard. For a wax I'd opt for two layers of Victoria Concours Red. If you want to use something under it Prima Amigo is an excellent glaze. Alternately, ClearKote Red Moose Glaze might give you slightly more wetness but it isn't a paint cleaner the way Amigo is and the combination is at least a little less durable IME. Lusso Oro Revitalizing Creme is another excellent base for waxes that cleans.

Street5927- I use the AutoGlym SRP under a number of LSPs, it's an under-rated AIO that you just don't hear about very much.

There is a product line that's not talked about much. I can still remember mixing Red Moose glaze bad Vanilla Moose (pink moose) and topping. With S100 or Souveran. Old School Baby

My opinion is NaviWax Ultimate is the best overall wax/sealant product for looks + durability + ease of use. You have to order it from EU.

Synergy lasts longer, but doesn't look quite as glossy.

I know this isn't what you are asking, but no matter what you use, PREP is the key - polish the heck out of the finish, and you will have a deep wet look even before you put a wax on. I prefer Optimum hyper polish combo or HD adapt/HD polish for a deep wet look.
