Zymol Wax $499.00 ??

Maybe we should get a group buy. ?The second one is refillable. It would be like getting Green Bay Packer Tickets. We could put our share into the will and pass it on.

I've got Zymol Vintage. I'ts not that great. I'd take Souveran any day of the week. Actually, I'd take just about everything between S100 and Souveran over Vintage. It maybe worth 1500 bucks somehow, but the value isn't in the looks or the durability.

Is snobbery worth that much?

Jngrbrdman, if I may be so bold to ask. How is it that you came into posession of such an elitest wax?
 
I use Vintage all the time on my car. Way better than Sovereign IMHO. I would never pay $1500 for it though. That is just way more money than I would be willing to spend for car wax. I don't think my whole car care collection ads up to that much. Jngrbrdman if you don't want your Vintage, I'll take it!! My container is almost empty.

It was given to me a couple years ago. I think I posted some initial test results here, but someone seems to have removed some of my pictures from Autopia. They were probably too commercial or something.... :lol:

I think snobbery is worth that much. Zymol has spent millions of dollars in advertising and marketing. They have make people believe that they are the best wax in the world. Since they are the only ones out there with balls big enough advertise that they are the best so boldly, people just assume its true. Since researching other alternatives takes time, people with the money just take their word for it and shell out the big bucks without ever really doing any comparison shopping. Who would know that S100 is just as good?? It's not like they use flashy labeling and appear at every car show or anything.

It doesn't matter which LSP has won more car shows. We all know that its the prep work and paint quality that wins shows and not the wax. I think that someday soon somebody will pronouce the death of carnauba waxes and get back to singing the praise of proper prep work.

Then why worry? You get lifetime refills for your $1500 bucks. Besides, if I gave my Vintage away then I couldn't say that I have it. ;) I like comparing it side by side with new products that come out so I can see how badly it gets beat. ;)

Thanks for the link. It was very interesting and entertaining reading. Am on a Souveran kick this winter. Last winter was P21S. I use sealants during the summer when I am in Allaska.

Would very much like to see the Zymol on my black truck. but alas, Souveran is all it will get this year
 
Is there really a differerence between sovereign and the signature wax??
according to pinnacle theres not....... :wink:
 
Well there is surely a difference in price. I did not like the signature series paste wax. Yet, I like Souveran very much. Guess that makes me a sucker. A happy sucker.
