Zymol Carbon Refridgerate?

Hi all,

planning on buying some Zymol Carbon from a local shop in the coming month. One thing I was wondering about is does this stuff NEED to be refrigerated? It says to on the label, but I do not refrigerate my other pastes..

I refrigerate all my Zymol. The enzyme will not live for long in the heat. It should be heated right before application.

Destiny and Japon are both in my fridge, they smell great too!

These products do not use solvents or chemicals to keep the wax soft, they use oils. Get them warm, the oils sweat out of the product and wont be evenly distributed.

Hi Geoff, (from my limited understanding) ALL waxes have to use a solvent to soften them, period. If you blended carnauba wax into oil, it would simply stay solid. The "oil" would need to attack the carnuaba wax.

Zymol is very thick in silicon and should not require cooling. It just is marketing to make the product seem more special then what it is... solvent, silicon, carnauba wax (25-30%), and oils...

Hi TH0001

I understand what you are saying, when i said solvents i was under impression it dident contain "chemicals" rather it using natural chemicals that were combined in the oils to keep the wax soft.

Many moons back i went to the Zymol and they told me that when they get hot the oils will not be resucked back in to the wax properly.

I know from personal experince that if you leave say Nattys in your car for a day and look back later it will have condensated and a pool of liquid appears on the top. These do get resucked back in to product.

After leaving my Concours with about 1 cm left in the bottom in the conservatory it sweated up and the product left would not become moist again. The oils/liquid remained on top of the Zymol Concours. The wax that was left was now a bit crumbly but all in all very hard to apply, like dried wax. After speaking with Zymol they gave me the line on the oils and thats why they say do not allow to get hot. I suppose REALLY HOT!

Anyway! For me atleast, they all stay in the fridge!
