How does it compare to other shampoos out there? Been thinking about trying it. It has to be better then Meguiars Deep Crystal. One thing that cought my eye about it is that it say it has "polishing agents". What's that about?

I bought a gallon of it when Big Lots had them and didn't get a chance to try it out until last week. I'm not too sure how it would work on paint since I used it on my wheels. But from my use on the wheels, it's a good shampoo, lots of suds and decent lubrication. I'm not too fond of the smell though. I got a headache from it. Not too sure what those "polishing agents" are but I know it's supposed to contain some carnauba in it.

I've used it before, it's certainly not as good as Sonax or Perls Shampoo, personally I stay away from anything that is associated with Zurtle Wax! :shocked

I use it, and it's still one of my favourites.

Great lubricity, smells fantastic IMO. Banana, coconut, and a hint of lemon if you look for it. :D

Lubrication is about the same as #00, and better than most other shampoos I've tried (older stuff or "other")... I haven't tried something often mentioned, like GC.

I would just ignore its claims about "polishing agents"... it's still a great shampoo IMHO.

Run a search for "blue zymol" and you should turn up a whole bunch of threads about this shampoo and some comparisons. :xyxthumbs

EDIT: I just read my bottle of Zymol and I didn't see any mention of polishing agents. :nixweiss Then again, my labelling may be different because it's in English and French for the Canadian market...

Well i bought a bottle. Cost me $6 and some change for the 16oz bottle. Damn this stuff smells good, I could probly make mixed drinks with this stuff lol. They only had one bottle i hope they keep it in stock if i like it.

I've been wanting some of that Zurtle Wash for a while. It's a good wash, but it's the smell I want.

Polishing agents...ho ho ho :D

Been using it for years and have no complaints. It does smell good. I got like a gallon at Cosco years ago. It was cheap! If i remember it was about $10. I don't think they have it anymore I havent seen it in a while

I don't know.. It fell a little short for me. I had to use way more then i wanted to get the type of lubrication i was used to. I'm now using Wolfgang and it seems to be working well.

I don't remember my bottle saying anything about having "polishing agents" or carnauba. What it does say is that it has "surface shining ingredients", which I assume is just another way of saying that it will make your car shiny if you use it (same as any other car wash).

I like Zymol Auto Wash. A lot. Despite being a Zurtle product, it is quite luxurious to use. Great smell and the suds last a long time.

I could only compare it to Mothers California Gold car wash. The Mothers offers more lubrication, but less suds than the Zymol. Also, the Zymol seems to clean off the dirt a little more thoroughly.

You can read a small comparison of car shampoos here:

The review is a couple of years old, but reading it is what originally turned me onto the Zymol.

Thanks for the information. I've been searching A.Z. parts stores to find the blue zymol auto wash. It's becoming hard to find. I have one bottle left , and one more store to check. I will prevail!!!
