Z'd today!

That last pic looks really good. I don't think you need a garage or a better camera (well, actually, everyone needs a garage like RedCarGuy, but that's another issue). It's just a lighting problem. You should check out Carguys posts about photography.

Thanks, since I'm still using "dial-up" I compress my pics(half the problem) which makes them distorted a bit. No more compression.

Thanks again..........

Hi all:

I am a bit confused. Based on everything that I have been reading about Zaino, I am going with it on my new car. Being a brand new car, and not having taken it through a brush-type car wash, I don't have any visible swirl marks. But many of you seem to be recommending Z5 (which is designated for swirls) instead of Z2. Zaino's web site says to use Z2 after Z5 because of Z2's better optics. Could you please explain your routine use of Z5 instead of Z2?

Thanks

Well, Z5 is nonabrasive, so it's safe to layer, just like Z2.

I noticed a softer shine with the Z5, one that rivaled a good carnauba. That's why many prefer this on darker cars.:xyxthumbs

However, Z2 does have higher optical properties than Z5, which makes for a more crisp shine, with sharper reflections. I always top Z5 with Z2 as suggested.

I used Z2 alone on my car when it was brand new(no swirls, like you;) ) , and couldn't have been more pleased! Just get the Z2 for your new car(save the Z5 for later...).

I find that the Z5 gives the depth appearance on black that some detractors state is missing with Zaino. I top with Z2 and QD with Z6 24 hours later. I only wash with Z7. You can never apply too much Z to the finish but the returns per layering will level out. I am sure Zaino wears like any paint protectant and that layers actually present on a car which is washed and driven is substantially less than the number applied.

Lost count after 60 coats.... :bounce

Intermezzo - thats the same WS6 that had all of the hooters girls climbing on the hood in their bikinis, isnt it??

That's the one!! I think that would be the only time I wouldn't mind getting a few swirls here and there..... from hooters girls climbing on the car.
