Today, for whatever reason, I caught that detailing bug and spent a few hours out in the driveway. I mostly worked on the interior, which didn't need much aside from a little leather conditioning. I tried out that Zaino Leather in a bottle. Another Zanio product I really liked. What I liked most about it is that it gave the seats a "semi-gloss" but no slickness like those meguairs wipes; there like wiping motor oil on the seats. At the same time the leather actually appeared as though they were being treated. I could have swarn they said thank you afterwards, then again it was 85*F out and I was in the sun all day:help: .

As for the ZCS.... its an interesting product that I don't think I know how to apply properly yet. Most people seem to have a problem with using too much; I always hear people saying to use a minimal amount. Well heres what I did. I decided to use a meguairs quick detail sponge (the yellow one shaped like a giant dog bone) because thats all I had and its REALLY soft. I spayed a mist on a panel from about a foot away, and then another next to it so the whole panel was misted with ZCS. Then I wiped it down. As I wiped I say the rainbow colors. The bottle says to work it into the paint which is what I did. Well by the time I worked it in the rainbow had disappeared and I was left with a panel that looked as though I had put nothing more then quick detailer on it. I was under the impression that you should have some sort of hazy residue left over and within a few hours or so it went away. This was almost instantaneous. One thing I will mention is that I did come out a hour later and the car was as shiny as the first time I detailed it using 12 or so steps. So maybe it did work. How will I really ever know? :grinno: (thats a retorical question)

So now for a couple of updates,... sorry for the delay on pictures. Like I said before, you really can't tell if the ZCS did anything at all. The car looks freshly detailed although not much different then when I use Z8. The product also left a few holograms on the car which are rather annoying, but when it rains, it seems like the water just bounces off the car. I think I will keep using it and see how it goes. Can't hurt. As for the "leather in a bottle" it was very effective and gave the car that fresh leather smell. It also wasn't oily like most other products I used. It gets a :bigups .

Ok now for a few shots... sorry they aren't clearer, it was really sunny out...

Looks really good to me. Zaino CS seems to have great durability but more or less locks in the look you already have. I much prefer using Z8 even though it isn't nearly as durable.

Next time you use CS, lightly mist it on the pad only and gently work it into the paint. It should dry very quickly, as in seconds.
