This is my personal daliy driver which had some heavy scratches across the sides from a recent offroad excursion. I have since realized I prefer detailing to offroading, so I decided it was time to get it all cleaned up. This was also my first time using an orbital buffer and I believe it went extremely well. Sorry for the lack of close up pictures and the halogen pics. I was running out of daylight and had Christmas Eve church services shortly after finishing up. Oh, and it was 65 degrees while I was doing this.
Here was my process:
Wash with Zaino Z-7
Claybar with Z-18 Claybar
3M Rubbing Compound with orbital buffer on heavily scratched areas
ScratchX with orbital buffer on lightly scratched surfaces
2 coats of Z-2
2 coats of Z-5
Z-6
Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal
Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel
Armor All Low Shine on the exterior door handles
