Zaino'd 2001 Porsche 996 twin turbo (no 56k safe

Very nice work. Just one question, did anyone else notice the rust on the brake rotors in the after pictures?? Is SG the culprit? Nice job on a nice car though.

Thanks guys for your thoughts on the porsche clear.

I always thought that was common on some cars. Spray water on the rotors and they will get a light layer of rust on them. After the car is driven and some brake use, they are all clean again.

Yea I'm sure its an easy fix. I just noticed that in the before pictures they looked much cleaner than in the after pictures.

The rust is just a very light surface rust and is completely normal. You can get the rotors to do this just by spraying water on them. No big at all.

Backing out of the drive way and applying the brakes would remove most and by the time you stop at a stop sign it would be completely gone.

I learned my lesson about taking after pictures with rusty rotors. Next time I will drive it around the block so it won't look so bad. Sorry, Mike...

OMG drive a nice porsche around the block. Life is not fair. :grinno:

Maybe you should take a longer ride, you want to make sure and get all the rust off. :woot:

My luck is that I would get pulled over and the cop would not find it humorous when I tell him I was drying it off and I would get a ticket. Mike...
