Nothing lasts longer. That seems to be undisputed.
In side by side shine comparisons, some people say they can see the difference. When analyzed, any difference seems to be in the preparation - Zaino amplifies what is below - with proper preparation, it's gorgeous. With no preparation, it shows.
I use the fast with good looks approach - dawn, claying, Zaino system. For the concourse look, suggest you talk to someone else and get into power polishing for prep.

Zaino is pretty darn long-lasting. One cautionary note: like everything else, it WILL wear off eventually. I find that it lasts about three months on my wife's car, which is parked outside, and six to seven months on my car, which is parked inside.
I have some questions myself about Zaino but I think I have them answered now that I think about it. I would love to try some Zaino on my 98 Ranger. But, it has swirls, oxidation, and just about everything else you can think of except rust and dents. Im really ambitious and anxious about getting the finish back. Since Zaino is not abrasive, I plan on using Meguiars Body Shop line to bring the finish back and then follow up with the Z system. This is my thinking:
1.) Dawn wash along with door jambs and tailgate jambs
2.) Clean - debug, detar, degrease
3.) Z clay
4.) DACP with yellow advanced pad and PC
5.) Dawn
6.) Z2 w/ ZFX x2 or 3
7.)Now that the swirl marks are removed and the paint polished like a mirror by now, do I need Z5 for anything????
8.) S100
9.) Pam Cookiing Spray
10.) Crisco
11.) spit shine
12.) Z2

Nothing lasts longer than Z.
If you want to apply more Z after carnuba, you will need to Dawn-wash first. This will remove the carnuba, but leave the Zaino un-harmed.
I just applied a coat of S100 over 8 layers of Z2. WOW!!!
It looks great! (but carnuba won't last long.........black car.....sun.....rain...heat.....equals a couple weeks!)

Zaino suggests that if after your prep you still have some small swirl marks, using the Z5 a few coats , alternating of course with the spray gloss enhancer. When you are satisfied with the absence of swirls, then go to the Z2. I have a few coats of Z5, on two of my cars and it looks great. I haven't put the Z2 on yet because of lousy weather, but if it's shinier than the 5 is , and they say it is, it should be really awesome.
