Well, good luck with that. Me, personally, if I was trying to save money on Z-6 and Z-7, I`d just buy these:

Duragloss Clean & Shine Detail Spray #921

Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate #901

Go for the gallons for better value, and I believe direct from DG they have $5 flat-rate shipping. I haven`t used the DG wash in a long time, but I can`t tell the difference between FC&S and Z-6. And before this gets out of control--SAL--I`m sure there`s a big difference, I`m just too limited in my detailing palate to be able to tell (covering kneecaps).

Does the #921 have the same scent as Z-6?
 
And the wash is red compared to blue

Kinda like Adam`s and the other brands that are re scented. I mean totally different

I think of Z-6 as a spray and wipe QD. It works best if you have Z-2 on your vehicle. Even without Z-2 it works pretty darn good too!

See, I like the limited Adams scents. We do this for fun don`t we? I like a company that helps share in the fun! Chocolate detail spray for Valentines, cinnamon DS and candy cane interior for xmas? Sign me up.
 
Look, the DG wash is a good wash, I don`t know how similar it is to the Zaino wash, really, they don`t smell the same and they aren`t the same color. I`ve never done a back to back or side by side test with them.

People say DG Aquawax and Z-8 are the same thing...I don`t agree. IIRC they don`t smell the same, and IMO they don`t work the same. Z-8 certainly seems like it could be a more concentrated cousin, though.

But as far as Z-6 and FC&S, I have closely compared them. They may not be the same, but they smell the same, look the same, and work the same (for me).

And once again, for the protection of my kneecaps--SAL--I`m sure I`m wrong about this.
 
Proof of what? Look at the Leno products. They even had Adams address as the contact originally till they were called out on it. They are made by the same company. Heck forma is too i think etc etc. there are not 6000 detail chemical companies that are making all these products.

You could get your own product like too in a couple weeks turn around if you had the money.

That being said we aren`t saying these products are bad either at least I`m not.

Adams stuff I like. Never tried Leno im sure it works just great too. One can only buy so much before you just look at it and decide not to click checkout anymore

We are lucky to have so much good stuff out there.

I`m still working through my stash of it as well. I hear they`ve changed it, and IIRC people who`ve used both versions think it`s no longer all that great.

Don`t know. Bottle I have is probably at least three years old and is same as I always remember it.

Ha ha, not really. I only come here to read that politics thread and bite my tongue, and occasionally jump into (or start) one of these Zaino threads. Just hard for me to watch someone plunk down money for a pint of Z-6 when they could (almost) buy a gallon of FC&S for that money (although now that I actually look at it the pricing isn`t that much of a no-brainer). And I`ve mentioned to you if you like the old lemon Z-16 you should try the DG 253.

FWIW I sometimes invoke your name in vain over on AGO, LOL.

Sorry if it came off as harsh. It just gets tiresome seeing people post internet hearsay as brand x is really brand y. Just because two chemical companies get their stuff from the same manufacturer, doesn`t mean they`re the same. That said, I do have a belief that Leno is related to Adams for the same reasons as most. I thought you were meaning to say Adams itself was relabeled, which is common to hear around here.

I`m not necessarily concerned with Z-6 for the performance. Don`t get me wrong, I don`t remember it being bad......but that was also when I didn`t know what a swirl mark was. The scent of the bottle I found (which had not degraded in 10+ years) just made me miss using it. If the DG spray smells the same and is a decent performer, I think I`ll be just fine.
 
Zaino (usually Z5 and ZFX & Z6) always drew looks and compliments on our black cars and had pretty decent longevity as far as looks went; didn`t really protect much from water spots or bird bombs though.

Always liked how easy it was to use and how little was needed although hated that the car wash shampoo only came in 16oz bottles. The leather in a bottle was good too.

Remember buying the $110 or so `kit` every Spring and thinking how ridiculous it was to spend that much money on car care items...kinda silly now considering I usually spend way more than that with a `small` order.

Just got a Spring promo email from them the other day...kinda odd how they just kinda faded away with respect to new products.

Never really got the `it`s too complicated` criticism; couple of drops of zfx in small bottle, fill halfway with polish, shake a bit and off ya went.
 
I always had good luck using Zaino products until one day I called to ask Sal a question and got a blast in the a** for asking something so stupid. Got rid of all my Zaino products, never used them since and have never recommended them to anyone. Customer service at it best!!!!!
