zaino zpc ???

hey everyone. I have been using the zaino zpc with my PC and rotary and does anyone elese have the problem of it dusting really bad or am i doing somthing wrong. the product works well but if it dusts it seems like it swirls the paint up a little. Any help?

I've had this same problem with a PC. From what I hear though, we are both miss using the product as its supposed to dust VERY little. Thus, your probably using too much product and its leaving swirls because your not polishing it for long enough to break down the polish. Try less product and see if that helps

Lower speed, I got mad dusting at 6, but using less on a speed no greater than 4.5 is perfect for me.

Try only using about 2-3 dime size drops of ZPC on the pad.

You can also just add a little moisture to the pad using a non-silicone / oil containing QD (Z6, Meg's FI) or water. This moisture will also increase working time which may be necessary if you are working outdoors (heat) or have extensive damage to repair.

Place s small bead of ZPC around pad. Start PC slow as normal for any polish and increase to max just prior to the polish completely breaking down. Inspected area than move on.

What about a regular Megs QD, Megs Final Touch Arosal, or ONR QD?

Meg's Final Inspection would require no post cleaning.



Meg's Final Touch or Final Detail, QEW or ONR diluted, would all require a IPA, Z6 or Z7 wash to remove their residue if one desires maximal bonding and performance of the Z sealants.

Even with this post polishing requirement QEW QD is an excellent polishing pad lube.:2thumbs:

Whenever I use ZPC, I get a lot of dusting too. I can minimize it in the beginning but after more than 1/4 of the vehicle, there is really no way of controlling it. I just tape up the glass and grills with painters tape and newspaper as to not get dusting into crevices and not make my cleanup harder.

I'm sure it depends on the vehicle- on my car I divide the hood into 4 sections due to it's raised scoops. Otherwise I work on one panel at a time. To polish a vehicle properly with a PC is gonna take several hours. If using a rotary I tend to use a bit more product and spread it out further but still work it until it goes clear.

The only time I've had any significant dusting problem was on a 98 degree, low humidity day. Cutting back on product seemed to really help though.

Normally this is the case because a rotary will repair quite a bit faster then any orbital.:waxing:

Very true, still on some dark colors a followup with a PC is needed to remove any hollogramming.

I mistyped that reply and corrected it. Use a rotary for swirl removal and follow up with a PC and a polishing pad to remove any hollogramming.

Any mild finishing polish/cleanser you have in your arsenal. I usually use with a PC something like ZAIO, Menzerna FP or P085R with a like polishing or finishing pad.
