You know, if Sal didn't have you pimping his products so much, I don't think many people here would have much interest in them these days. Just an observation. I don't mean anything bad by that.

I just mean that if Sal isn't paying you well to be his spokesmen, he should be. You are definately drumming up some business for Zaino.

Do you know Sal personally?

Sal and I talk once and a while, but mainly just about products and processes. I don't know him personally.


Very kind of you to say, but I doubt that would fly . I just enjoy using products that work well. I use Menzerna/Blackfire polishes just as much as well as a few other products.

With anything, prep is the key. I would final polish with Menzerna FPII or 106ff AND some CK RMG. Do a Z6 wipedown and apply Z5 Pro (ZFX'd Z8'd) x 3.

I think Z5 Pro is a nice mix between an extremely glossy sealant and the yellowish glow of a carnauba. I haven't had one complaint of it's look thus far and have used it on my past 25+ details.

Z5 Pro makes clean up a breeze. Due to our work schedules, I can only really wash Liz's red Saab every 2 or so weeks. A quick Z7 wash and Z8 later, it looks as above (that detail is 2.5 months old!).

I use Presta Swirl Remover and P&S Ultracoat Polish for most of my finish work, Presta is water-based as is Ultracoat I believe, would both leave a nice finish for Zaino to bond with? I realize you want the surface as contaminate free as possible before applying Zaino so I would assume a water-based polish such as the ones I use would make a great base?
That's the other thing that I'm after too, that constant "just waxed" look. I have to say for 2.5 months old Liz's Saab looks great! That's the kind of product I'm looking for, I think I might become a Zaino convert.
I hope you don't mind me posting a non-Zainoed vehicle in your thread, but here's a shot of the bed on our HD, the current coats of Ultracoat are a week old tomorrow

I realize it's in the shade so it's hard to justify how the truck looks in the sunlight but that's the look I'm after. I'm really looking into Zaino mainly for red, it's the color I do the most toying with, as there's a lot of red trucks in my family

The basic show car kit on Zaino's site caught my eye, would that be a good starting point?

Blinded, I've been using Zaino products for the past 8+ months. Many products look as good as Zaino after a detail, but when it comes to maintaining your finish -nothing comes close (IMHO).

Here's my MDX after I purchased it. Prepped with Menzerna, topped with FMJ.

Here's my MDX 1 year later after using Zaino products.

Regardless of the 'look' (everyone has their own opinion), I think Zaino products are the benchmark.

The 2nd picture of the right side of the MDX is quite astounding....it makes the 1st picture look sterile. Yes, there was a different setting and possibly different sun conditions, even the camera may be different, but the positive results are there to be seen. If I could get past the mix this with that and use this number before, after, or during use with that number.....I'd likely give it a go. I'm sure it's quite simple but to the guy that doesn't understand (me) it's a bit overwhelming.

Look more like a distributor to me. If Z lasts as long as many users say it does and if you use thin layers as instructed, NO ONE PERSON needs that much product unless they are a reseller.

Reading the information from this thread and seeing countless pics from Sean including some from Zaino site has tempted me to add another product but I have so many now I can't seem to justify such a large order.I think I'm getting to the point where I should narrow down my arsenal to a dedicated product and shelf the rest.

Is this something many of you guys go through?

Do you have the entire Zaino package or do you have few chosen products.

Hilarious you posted the pics as I was typing. I guess your one person who owns the entire line. I would be willing to buy some from anyone who has some extra product..

Look more like a distributor to me. If Z lasts as long as many users say it does and if you use thin layers as instructed, NO ONE PERSON needs that much product unless they are a reseller.

I just like the product -use it a lot on my cars and many other details.

Yes, this will last me a loooog time. I had no idea how long until after I received the product and started using it heavily.

GBG TL (my neighbor) typically makes the 'season purchase' for his Boat/Jet Ski buddies. They bulk order to save on shipping. He only wishes that he had that much product in his basement . If he did, I'd raid his place!!!!!

I've had a few follow-ups 4+ months after using Zaino, and have noticed that the finish is in much better condition vs. some of the other products that I used. For me, this means less effort.

From a visual perspective, here's what I've personally experienced using Zaino as a topper vs. a few other boutique products. I like them all -but they do offer different looks, durability, etc...

Spare me. I have nearly as much Zaino as pictured here, and I'm no distributor either.

Allow me to throw my 2 cents worth in here as well. I'm equally impressed with both Z5 Pro and Z2 Pro. Hell, I'm very happy with the entire Zaino line.

Thanks. I am really pleased with the Z5 Pro and Z2 Pro, and Z8 is no slouch either.
