Zaino Z-5 Question on new car

I have a question on Zaino Z-5.

Is Z-5 needed on a new car ?

Z-5 is good for filling in fine scratches and swirl marks, which a new car does not have

So I am only using Z-2 and Z-6, until I see the need for the Z-5.

Is this correct ?

Thanks in advance. Great fourm!

Z5 use to provide a slightly different look, which some people highlight was nicer on dark vehicles. However, with the reformulation, I haven't heard very much of that.

If you have a perfect finish, go with Z2. Don't forget, you'll need Z1 or ZFX as well.

Of course, Z6 between coats is highly suggested as well.

z5 has more of a candy shine that tends to enhance light colored cars. The more reflecetive candy shine hides swilrs better than z-2. I only use z-5 on both my cars since they are light colored metallics and look better (IMHO) with z-5.

The whole Z2 vs. Z5 debate on the "Look" issue is really based on individual preference. The only way to know which you prefer is to try them both out. It's really vehicle dependant as how well the finish is, the colour of the car and personal bias play very significantly into it.

What is generally agreed, is that either way (Z2 or Z5) - you'll be happy with the end result.

Some of the techs at Zaino told me that they usually stick with Z5 on their black cars and that nobody could tell the difference. Snook - new cars can have plenty of fine swirls and imperfections. They may just not show up on certain colors or under some lighting conditions. The prep guys at many dealers are often not very good.
