Zaino Z-26 Results (Z-10 plus Z-16)

Finally got around to trying this interior product combination for the dash. I like it a lot. I mixed Z-10 to Z-16 in a 6:1 ratio. The idea is for the Z-16 to bring a bit more gloss when used on plastic and vinyl dash pieces.

Here are a few pictures of the product results:

Z-10 only, very matte

Z-26, now glossy but not too much so

I you like Zaino, and who doesn't ;), try this for interior work. :)

I was going to say dude you have too much time on your hands and too much money to burn, until I saw the pics... I think that combo looks perfect.

I first heard about it from Sal Zaino a while ago then I was reminded when Sean (GSRStilez) used it recently. I think its my new fave dash product. :)

Maybe its me but in the pix I cannot tell a difference.

Dude ;) Look at the upper right corners and see how more reflective the Z26 combo is. It's more noticeable in real life. What's cool is how you can vary the mix to bring out the right level of gloss.

Looks really nice Lee. That's one clean interior. :hifive:

I thought Z16 was only for exterior use only. :nixweiss
AFAIK, both are PDMS dressings. Other than the concentration of resins, consistency, and scent, they're probably not all that different from one another (that's speculation on my part, of course).

Your speculation is correct. Spoke to Sal this morning and he was surprised that I did not know about this combo. I told Sal the reason I thought Z16 was only for exterior usage was because of the statement on label "For exterior rubber, plastic & vinyl trim".

This statement was to discourage full-strength interior usage only. Too slippery for seats for example. :nervous2:

Sal mention that one can titrate the sheen up or down by varying the amount of Z16 mixed with the Z10.

Thanks again Lee for turning on a long time user of Z products to a new trick and enhancement of the Zaino system. :thx

Nice. I like the outcome.

I was recently looking for an interior detailing spray and didn't want something that made my dash look too shiney. This looks like what I've been looking for :D Best of both worlds. Great protectant and not too shiney.

Btw, how long has it lasted ? or is it still in the "testing" phase?

Very interesting........I'll be trying this out real soon. I love both products, well....I love all of the Zaino products!! :buffing:

Do you guiys think Sal will make the product into a premixed interior dressing....like Silver stated, a new Z-26 !!??

I'd buy it, even though I could mix it myself I would like to see it, in it's own bottle with a nice fine mist sprayer.

Well just tried it on a Tahoe. After cleaning the interior I applied it with a cotton towel and it seems to spread more like Z-10 then Z-16. Z-10 doesnt spread as much as Z-16. It leaves a very nice smell. Has more of a leather smell then the peppermint smell form the Z16. I let it sit for 30 minutes and buffed with a MF. Left a shinier finish on hard plastics then softer plastics and leather as expected. Im going to get pictures in the morning when the sun comes up. I used about half an ounce on an entire Tahoe.
