Zaino with Meguiar's?

Hmmm? 100 times better... that's a bold statement.

This is the kind of question I have been trying to get solid answers for. I was always under the impression that you had to remove ALL oils prior to applying Zaino. Recently I heard though that Sal himself has suggested that you can use 3M SMR and immediately follow that with Zaino without first removing the oils in the 3M SMR. This is where the confusion starts for me. If you can apply Zaino over 3M SMR than what else can you apply it over.





If you don't think that 3M SMR has oils in it than take a look at the MSDS.

You MUST wash the surface with Z7 after using polishes that contain oils prior to applying Z2, Z3 or Z5. This will provide a clean surface for the wax to adhere.

That is what I always believed as well. Several people have posted that Sal has told them that they can use 3M SMR and then go directly to Zaino without removing the oils first. There are also a lot of people using AIO under Zaino without washing first. Here is a link to a thread I started on this very question recently.
