Zaino vs. Klasse All In One Application & Sealent

Can anyone answer my questions about how to use klasse? How easy is it? Does it come off easy? AOI a protectant? etc

They're easy and great and forget this Glare vs. Klasse debate earlier, Klasse is better because we don't know what's in this Glare if it lasts as long as it does.

Klasse AIO is a cleaner/sealant that strips earlier layers off, but chemically, not abrasively. It also has sealant in it so you get 1 layer down while polishing. AIO can be wiped off immediately or you can let it set a while -- your choice.

Klasse SG is pure sealant glaze...first layer can go on a few minutes after AIO is wiped off and then other layers 24 hours apart.

I did AIO + 3 layers of SG on my Honda...will S&W and acryllic it this weekend and post some pics now that I know how to resize images! :)

Ty Honda,
But how do you know if it's better when you don't know what it is? I will try Klasse cause everyone here likes it and it sounds easy. I don't like powder residue that Glare dude said happens with that stuff, and shhh I don't want something that lasts that long because I paint cars for a living, lol. A little less protection is good for my business, shhh. Besides, nothing protects againts chips so no matter what you all use you will see me at some point if you want your rods looking hot! An unsolicited suggestion to anyone who gonna paint their car. Try violet blue! I did this last week and I'm pissed I didn't take photos. I bet it would freaking dance with that Klasse stuff. Ty all for the advice, butta

Sheesh cant we all get along? Dang I dont want to pizz off fuzz. I don't want to be banned from the planet like Glare dude, lmao. Fuzz mullets are cool man, all the way, never had but gonna get one. We cool? You scare me more than my third grade teacher.

I would suggest that you do some searching on Klasse questions. Its a pretty popular product on any forum and there is lots to learn about it. AIO is probably one of the easiest products to use that I have ever tried. It goes on and off very easily with no dust. The dust is common with products that have fillers in them. AIO is not that kind of product. It is a very effective paint cleaner though... Check out this thread. Now that is cleaning power if I ever saw it. It really is an awesome product that is useful in many situations. Its not great on the protection side though. Very weak in my experience. I would always suggest using it as part of a two stage detail. Clean the paint with AIO and then top it with a real sealant that has a couple months protection in it. SG or even something like UPP or Wolfgang or something like that. AIO by itself isn't that great of a sealant.

I will just suggest what I have always suggested. Don't waste time looking for the 'best' product. There isn't one out there. AIO works great on oxidation and things like that, but is it a 'best' product? Not even close. If I was looking for a product that could give me show car gloss and depth, then I wouldn't be reaching for a bottle of AIO as my final step product. There is a good product for every job and there are about a zillion different opinions about which one looks better or performs better. Detailing is a very subjective art, and as we all know, art is in the eye of the beholder. Try as many products as you can and then make an informed decision. Don't use it and believe it is the best just because someone told you so. It might be the best for them, but you have to consider that their climate, car, paint, and skill level may be very different than yours. Everything is subjective and there is no best. There is only what YOU like best. :bigups

UPP is Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection. I think there is a link with all of our funky acronyms around here somewhere.... Anyway, it is awesome stuff. I have been largely impressed by the products that come out of the Four Star factory. You can't go wrong with them. :bigups

Ok last post, there's an asian girl coming up next on blind date, have to sign off and pay her my full attention. Thanks for you detailing post, that is very impressive. I cut and pasted it, did you know it was 11 pages, lol. Didn't see AIO on the list but maybe I have to check again. After blind date that is.

No offense Jn but if you wash a light car good it almost looks as good as if you wax it. But if you wax a dark color it explodes compared to just washing it. But I had a light car for 11 yrs and it was cool cause I didn't have to wash it as much. Now I got wedgewood blue and I gots to wash dat bch once a week at least. Tell you the truth I miss that white bronco I had, lol. JN could you answer my questions about Klasse? ty Butta

So then what is a good car wash product?

So what would Zaino be good for?

Ty Honda,
But how do you know if it's better when you don't know what it is?

Because I'm pretty confident if it was (1) any good (2) safe (3) revolutionary that someone on DC or Autopia would have mentioned it. And I don't trust things that are used by car dealers, who know very little about taking care of cars.

Honda dealers? Good cars, nice people, but these idiots at 2 dealers in the NY area told my brother -- who then told me when I bought my car -- "Oh, you don't have to wax it or anything for a year, it's got clearcoat on it"

That idiotic suggestion is what led me to DetailCity in the first place when I got my car. I've detailed mine a few times...my brother STILL hasn't done anything on his 2004 Accord (9 months old now) and it's starting to feel grimy. I am busting his butt to bring it over to our parents house with the heated garage so I can do it. Or this weekend, if the outside weather is warm enough.

one more q if you dont mind. Do you cut that AIO with a pad, or by hand?

It's so easy, you can do it by hand. The guys who are addicted to PC's probably do everything but washing and claying with their PC's, but AIO and SG I do by hand. Since SG is normally an LSP, some folks are using their PC and buffer pads to apply that. I'm new to the PC so I'm using my 10 fingers.

Ty, JP and Honda you guys have been helpful. I went to kragen to get some AIO and SG and they never heard of it. Is Klasse like Zaino, you can only get it online? Where is the cheapest right know anybody know, I can't wait? One more important question, can you harm a car if you machine buff a car with AIO? I am a likttle mad at JP, I saw a car today that I usually say needs a paint job $, today I said I want to try AIO on that cause of those red toyotas picks he had, my boss may fire me if I keep that up, lol.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Glare website is www.autopolish.net, i think. I was going to try this a while ago, but it got some poor reviews at autopia and roadfly. If I remember correctly, Steve (the gurureports dude) tested it with other products and it was one of the worst in durability, and maybe pretty bad in looks too. Do a search on roadfly to make sure of what he said though.

Klasse is not a product that you will find off the shelf. It is possible to find it at some car dealerships or detail shops, but you won't find it at retail stores. It will have to be ordered online. A quick search on www.google.com should provide about a hundred places to buy it. Our sponsers on Detail City carry it as well.

AIO itself doesn't have any abrasives in it. It is a chemical cleaner and isn't going to hurt the car when using a machine. However, you can hurt the car with the machine if you aren't careful and depending on what kind of machine it is. If you kick a rotary up to full speed with a wool pad on, then yes you will hurt the car. Its not going to be the AIO's fault though. If you are unsure of if you are going to hurt the vehicle with a buffer, then I would suggest doing it by hand or get a tool that you feel more comfortable with.

Buttashine, buy it from our DC sponsors. Even if you pay a buck or two more, it's worth it. Support our sponsors !!

Looked up that glare stuff website and that says its the best, but of course they are selling it. Looked for the roadfly review and its pretty hard to look it up but I did catch this link that tested 7 wax sealants and it showed zaino as a definite number 1.

Doesn't really matter, the Klasse double is in the mail so unless I have problems I will be good for a while.
