Zaino vs Duragloss...

Since someone asked about this in the 601 thread I figured I'd give my opinion. I picked up 601/111 last year for durability. Based on my testing 111 is a pretty durable product -a 50/50 mix won't kill it. It does seem to bead water better with 601 used as a base. It is a very clear looking product and IMO isn't as wet as some of the newer products like Tropicare XP. The 105 is probably an improvement as far as looks go. The AW is superb. The Zaino lineup IMO is better but is also more expensive. ZFX although expensive saves time vs 601. The Z5Pro has minor filling ability and a slightly darker look. Z2Pro is slightly more reflective. And Z8 as a topper is great. Z5P + Z8 equals the gloss and wetness of Tropicare XP(great looking product) on pewter while being more durable. The Zaino line is deceptive because the products are very concentrated and very little is used per application so cost is also deceptive. I'd rank AW and Z8 as slightly different looking but both high quality products. I'd rank Z5P or Z2P as better looking and more durable than 111 and a better base product. Either way both are good lines but IMO Zaino is better. From what I've been told Zaino is comprised of 4 different polymers. As a former Zaino skeptic I have to admit that the Z performance is pretty amazing. Also, Zaino will bond over AW after a wash or Z6 wipedown.

I haven't tried Zaino as of yet but some day out of my search to try other products and to keep an open mind as i like the fun of the whole detailing thing and find the final out come rewarding. Thanks for taking the time to offer up your opinion. I will say for the price of DG and its availability on top of the results i received today it is definately a quality product sort of like a diamond in the ruff for me anyways.

Thanks again for your reveiw..

AL-53 stated that 105 was much better looking than the 111 he has used both. It would be a more fair comparison to use the latest offering from DG if you are going to use the latest from ZZZZZz

The 105 is better than the 111 that being said both are high quality lines that protect very well.
The washes are very similar.
I've seen a pic of a Nisssan Murano the newer burnt orange color going around prep was clay then used bonding agent then 105 it looked really good.

The AW looks fantastick-I'm sure the 105 has similar ingredients. The DG prices are very good. The DG leather conditioner is also top quality.

I agree here that both Z and DG 105 are great products (I mean Great). There is always room for many great stuff (Tropicar seems like another one to try). What I really like here is that we can all discuss different/competing products agreeing that they are all good and have their place without lowering ourselves to being nasty. Personally I happen to be enjoying DG 105 at the moment (maybe I will do Z next year, love options:) ).
