Zaino users?

Guilty as charged.

I like its durability, ease of use, and incredible looks that I think rivals the best nuba's on the market since the release of the "Pro" version. Although I never had any complaints about the old version that some people thought looked plasticy.

You can search for my details in the pro before and after section to give you some pics if you like.

Added a few for you:

Z5pro followed by Z8 on these:

Sorry I don't have more with Z2pro for you, but 80% of the cars I polish are black.

Overall Zaino is a great sealant to use. The application is not the easiest (cure time+ZFX additive) but it does look really nice on pretty much all colors. I preferred Z2pro over the Z5 for all colors. On light and medium cars the Z2pro on its own looked great but on black cars it sometimes looked a bit sterile. Extreme clarity and reflections but very little depth and glow. I have since moved on from Zaino but its still a quality product:xyxthumbs

I use Z-2 / Z-5 / ZFX / Z-6 / Z-8 / Z-PC. The sealants are very durable, but quite frankly that's the only thing I care about them. To me, it didn't significantly enhance the gloss or create this wonder glow I was expecting. Almost all the beauty came after I went through lengthy, careful prep work. Once I finish up my Z-2 / Z-5 bottles (which will take a while), I plan to use something locally-available like DuraGloss. I guess I'm just not as picky or can't tell the difference when throwing on the LSP...

Some of the products like Z-2 and Z-8 do smell pretty nice though.

I still hate adding a few drops of ZFX to a bottle and shaking it for 90 seconds. :scared: :)

I understand how that can be tough for some, but its not an issue for me.

Cure time- As long as zaino is applied thin you won't have any issues. I find my cure times to be in the 15-20 min range. Just long enough to apply some Z-16 to the tires or polish the exhaust tips.

For me what it comes down to is my clients pay a premium for my services. The hours of polishing I put into each car is very well protected with Zaino.

I have had a few clients who where not sure how Zaino would look on their cars. I tell them that if they are not happy with the look, I will remove the zaino and apply whatever else I have or they supply. So 120 cars polished and zaino'd in the last 3.5 years and nobody has taken me up on this yet. I have had 2 clients who wanted a carnuba from the start and thats what they got.

Is it my understanding that some of you are using Z-5 in lieu of Z-2 Pro or are you using both. Is Z-5 better on dark colors? I have a dark Blue truck and often find after coats of Z-2 Pro that I have small surface scratches. Years ago I used to use a product called "Fill & Glaze"(a pink liquid) to fill the scratches. All my polishing is done by hand. I am really satisfied with the results using the Z-2but if the Z-5 is better and doesn't leave the scratches I'd be a lot happier.

Thanks in advance for your help and insight-

I use Z-2 Pro over Z-5 Pro. Here it is on dark red, from two summers ago. There were a few other light scratches that I had to remove with some Zaino Z-PC, my PC and a polishing pad, but overall, after a year owning this car, I didn't have too many swirls to worry about. I gave my Montego two layers of Zaino Z-5 Pro and a layer of Zaino Z-2 Pro. Finished with a wipe down of the whole car with Z-8. All the grained exterior plastic, including the rocker panel molding and the cowl, were treated with Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss, as were the tires, and the wheels were detailed with Z-8, sprayed on a microfiber pad, and then applied to the wheels.

Thanks for all the input and pics!

I have a C6 Corvette to detail this weekend.

I will take pics of before and afer and post later.

just curious on how to go about applying this stuff. I've read that its a good idea to apply Z2 over Z5 on a black car. Is this true? I need to know what I need to purchase. So far I have Z2/Z5/ZFX/Z8 on the list. I think that this is more then enough, would you guys agree?

Z5 Pro on dark colors

Z2 Pro on lights

You can do multiple coats but you need ZFX to aid in cure time

I used two coats of Z5 Pro with Z6 in between coats the topped with Z2 Pro
