Wash car with Dawn or Megs APC+ @ 64:1 ratio.
Clay the finish. Wash again with normal car wash soap.
Evaluate finish and start polishing.
Just a reminder, 3M IHG FILLS swirls. You should look into 3M PIII-MG or Megs SFP to REMOVE swirls. Finish with Megs Hand Polish or Menzerna FP.
Here is one of the better tip write-up for Zaino:
Nick's Zaino Tips
One item on Zaino, you need to remove oils from polishing, off the finish. Just about all polishes have some type of oils. There are many ways to accomplish this. One is the Dawn wash, another, Zaino Z7 wash, another, Megs APC+ 64:1, or 50/50 mix of alcohol and distilled water. Whichever you choose, it's all to get the paint ready for Zaino to bond.
Shake the Z5 bottle well. If it's a white bottle, it's the new Z5. Mix your ZFX/Z5 and shake that well too. Let sit and grap your Z6 and spray the entire finish using your best MF towel or better yet, an Autopia CBT towel or DFTOWEL. Now, spray your applicator lightly with Z6 and apply VERY VERY THIN. As it dries and you start to remove it, if you get streaks, go get your Z7 car wash bottle... mix 1/2 capfull with 12oz distilled water in a spray bottle. Spray the effected area, wipe off, no more streak. DO NOT use Z6 to remove streaks. Apply Z6 between coats, up to three then STOP. Next day, you can do Z2 if clearcoated. Spray Z6 B4 and after each coat.
Once your done, if you want a deeper look, you can top it with a high-end wax like P21s/S100 or Souveran, or CMW etc. BUT, if you want to add more Zaino AFTER you topped with wax, just remove the wax, Megs APC+ works well for this!
Enjoy the Zaino! I did, see below in my sig!
