Hi I am about to do the whole Zaino treatment

I know the whole dawn thing but I am a little confused about the z-2, z-5, z-6

I put the z-5 then do I follow up with z-2 or just keep putting on z-5 and put 4-5 layers and then follow up with z-2 4-5 layers and then hit the whole thing with z-6?

Well let me know if I am going about this right

You guys think I can do 2 cars in a day the full treatment a Catera and Miata?

I also and the First owner of a Cadillac Catera to Autocross it, yes I used it for 3-4 events just to see what she could do. She didnt do that bad running on 225/55/16 Pirelli P-8000's heres a quick list of what the Caddy that zigs beat

(I may be decent or they were horriable drivers maybe a little of both)

Countless wrx (I really dont see why people think there so great for a performance car I mean they are a nice sporty all season car but stock they are kinda sloppy when it comes to turning I thought my car had alot of body roll)

1988 Corvette

1998 Vette

2001 M3 chipped, exhaust

1997 M3

I have never lost to a 300zx or 350z

beat a Saleen mustang 2001

destroyed every 5.0 stang I went up against

240sx with turbo

civic si

evo VIII

and a few other but I consider these alot faster cars than mine (well that would be most cars on the road but hey it was fun)

I posted a few pictures I dont know if you can see the harness in it but I have a sparco 4 point harness I borrowed from a friend it weird to see a caddy with a harness in it.

Wow, some drivers must suck! Never thought a Cadillac Catera could beat M3's and Vette's (and some of the other cars on the list, I'm partial to the M3's and Vette's though....)

I always thought a Cadillac was luxury over performance.

Hmmm....looking at that list of cars, I suspect that it was your skill, and not your car, that beat the other drivers. :up

If you were to swap cars, would those guys have beat you with your own car? I highly doubt it....

Sorry to hijack the thread....back to your normal programming. :)

I guess it is the driver, The best time I have ever had at an autocross was a driver of a 1999 Mustang Cobra a maybe 18-20 years old was parked next to me I was taking all the junk out of my car getting ready for tech inspection he looked my car over and said, in the most sarcastic way imaginable “so your really going to run that thing? And I told him yeah she runs alright. His mustang has at least 100 horse power over mine and is maybe 300-400 pounds lighter he had 18 inch wheels and it was lowered exhaust the whole deal. Well at the end of the day I say his times I murdered him by 10 seconds on a 60 second course. As we were both packing up I asked him "so are you coming to another event" and he said "yeah" so as sarcastically as I could put it I asked him "so are really gone run that thing again" and told him my time the look on his face was priceless

I saw him at the next few events he bought a few friends one with a camaro and a focus they got spanked also. Never heard a thing from him again I wish I had my miata at the time would have beat him by 20 seconds.

By the way I am not an old dude I was 20 at the time. 21 now, someone should have told me a gut comes along when you drink and you get older

I can probably pull off a 2 complete car detail in one 8 hour day, or a full interior/exterior/engine on a friends Tahoe and his BMW and parents Buick with exterior deals.

It all depends what condtion the cars are in and how fast/efficiently you can work.

Probably the driver. Once I run into some money, pro driving school here I come!

That's a cool story! :bow

Anyway, at your age, 2 full details in a long day should be no problem. You car(s) looks to be in excellent shape too, so it's not like you're going to have to really go at it, like some cars I have done. Normally, with a car in good shape, I can do a full detail in 4 hours. With 2 cars, there are some time savings, so you should easily be able to do 2 well kept cars in 8 hours.

Nice job with the Caddy.

I've been to two autocross events ever. The first to watch some friends and ride along; the second to compete with them.

My '99 ES Protege had only it's rear sway bar swapped,$150 bar $75 off Ebers. I bumped out every civic that showed up an old sentra a '96 Altima and a pair of Accords with CAI and exhausts.

All hail the slowest accelerating car that showed up, for it dosen't have to slow down in the corners and speed back up ;)

Pcaddy, I'll agree. I would expect something like a supercharged Miata to never loose in an autocross event. Could there be a better race for one?
