Zaino over RMG?

I did a quick search and didn't find much. I'm wondering if Z2/Z5 can be applied over RMG. Will it effect durability?

I would think its not the best idea as zaino needs a clean surface to bond to.

Zaino doesn't bond well over oils. Skip the RMG

I could not even get IW 845 to stick to RMG. I have a 2006 corvette with RMG + Soverean. It has not been washed since June 16th, It's due, so I'll see how it held up.

I think Sean (g35stilez) has had sucess with Zaino over RMG, but I could be wrong.

When I have used Zaino over an RMG'd surface, I use a minute amount.



Menzerna PO106FF or Optimum Car Polish AND RMG (70/30). After that, I wipe down with Z6. The things I have noticed are that the Z will be a little streaky, but that can be eliminated with a damp towel wipedown.



I haven't been able to monitor durability, but if you Z6 first, then mix with ZFX, I don't forsee a huge problem.
