and this is the zaino package

zfx

z2pro

total comes out to be around $73

which package would you guys prefer. ALso, how long does the klasse aio and sg last? like how long would a bottle of 16.9oz and 33.8oz bottles of aio and sg last for?

Thanks

It depends on how you apply it.

You use about an ounce of SG per layer, and 3 layers (or more) per detail. So that 33.8 oz bottle should do about 10 cars.

I tend to use more AIO because I sometimes use it with a PC. And I use it on surfaces that I don't use SG on. Black trim, for example. My guess is you should be able to get about 5 applications of AIO out of the 16.9 oz bottle.

I've been using Klasse about 15 months and I'm just about out of the first bottle of AIO and I have about a fourth of a bottle of SG left. I've done one car twice with that and 2 cars once each.

No problem with shelf life.

If I were you I would

A)get a bigger bottle of AIO than SG (33.8oz AIO, 16.9oz SG) the reason for this is that you'll find you use AIO more than SG because it makes a great base for many products and you wont need much SG for a car I just did three layers on an 04 accord coupe and only used about 2oz, maybe a little less.

B) Drop the P21s and get some S100 for half the price or any other pure wax you like

Also some tips on SG, apply very thin, use a little push top sprayer (like the hair spray type) to spray on and use a MF applicator to help make a thin layer, take off with a MF and a little water with a couple drops of SG (not much at all) simply spray the layer of SG with the mixture and wipe like a QD and there will be no streaking, and will be a breeze to remove. This is kinda a mixture of a couple of people on this board techniques.

I had a 10oz bottle of AIO and have used it at least five times now and still have over half left. You do have some much larger vehicles than us Europeans though so applications per bottle will vary quite a bit.

Never tried SG but AIO S100 or AIO Autoglym EGP with or without a coat of S100 all look great.

I've tried both and I would say that if you have not worked with SG before, consider the Zaino system. Zaino is much more easier to buff off. I personally use AIO to prep the paint and then proceed to Zaino. Both are acrylic polymer so I don't believe there should be problems with bonding, and I haven't experienced any. Even with the wipe-on wipe-off technique, I find that SG often leaves annoying streaks that are only visible at certain angles. I really don't enjoy walking around the car just trying to remove those streaks. It's a lot easier with Zaino. Also, definetely drop the P21S and get S100, they are the same product and S100 is much cheaper.

16 oz AIO and 32 oz SG sound about right - to begin with.

AIO is simple to use, via PC or hand.

SG can be a little tricky the first few time you use it. Use the search function to look up posts on Bill North's WOWO method for applying the SG.

My signature line say it all, however.

I have used Zaino and the twins. Get the Klasse AIO only and put the Zaino on top of that. Not in favor of the ugly twin. lol

So if i use aio and then apply zaino, is it going to have bonding problems?

thanks

I like SG for its durability, but I never was too fond of the looks. Of course I would prefer SG over Zaino though.

SG needs a fragrance of some kind because man, does it smell bad!

wow. good questions... hmmm... damn Zaino fanatics... lol.

Maybe I will get some Zaino... top with FMJ or UPP or BF... (as far as sealants)

I liked Zaino better, SG was way to finicky. And do not bother trying to top it with anything other than Z8, Z8 seems to work the best IMHO. :xyxthumbs

has any one here compared meguiars new sealent #21 and compared them to klasse or zaino?

Ive heard alot about m21 as well and was thinking of giving it a shot. But you have to buy a 64oz of the sealant which sucks.

personally from what I've read Zaino is easier to work with than Klasse, so personally between the 2 I'd go with Z. You could buy the 21 and sell samples and that would probably be the most economical.

I sencond the sample os 21 idea, I'll buy one.

There is a place to get smaller sized bottles of 21, and i hear it is an outstanding product, like NXT should have been.

i've used both and have stopped, as neither of them are easy to remove.. the zaino is slightly easier. I find the SG has a deeper ,wetter looking finish. But if you put on too much SG, you'll be scrubbing for hours to remove it.. like glue to remove..

I never been a huge fan of the sealant look and prefered carnuba's. But I took the chance and orderd some Z2-Pro, I figured 3 layers and top with Collinite for a nice look and great protection. I just made a thread about how impressed I was with the Z2-Pro on my wifes black Mariner. With the ZFX it was very easy to apply and easy to remove and barely used an ounce for 3 layers on that "car". Overall very impressed with the looks and application/removal of Z2-Pro.

I never used Zaino, seems to cultish for me and the people that use are very defensive so I won't say anything about it, but I've used Klasse AIO and SG for many years and I always liked it until I tried Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. They have similar properties in terms of fillers, cleaners and shine but NXT is way easier to use as you can do the entire car, let it dry and quickly wipe it off whereas Klasse AIO requires a moist applicator (which dries quickly in the summer) and you have to do a section at a time, let it dry just enough not to much, not to little and it doesn't come off that easy so I feel I can wax a car with NXT in half the time of Klasse. Klasse SG to me is worse as it streaks so I stopped using it. The advantage that Klasse has is that it does last a little longer. This is where #21 comes in, has similar properties to NXT but doesn't have the cleaners but lasts longer than NXT or Klasse. Having said all that, nothing comes close to Meguiars #16 in terms of shine and long lasting but doesn't have fillers or cleaners so the paint has to be in good shape to begin with, too bad they pulled it off the market.

I know Meguiars makes some products that are not that great, some are pretty bad but their professional and detailer line has some great products, it's a shame they don't sell these to consumers like #21 or their polishes like #83. The only downside to the pro products is they only come in larger containers.
