Zaino on new bm convertible

Picked up my new bm today, couldnt resist trying out the zaino for the first time.

Must admit I love it, easy to apply and remove.

heres what I did

wash with fairy liquid

clay z18

wash with z7

z5 + zfx

z6

z5 + zfx

z6

z2 pro + zfx

z6

z2 pro + zfx

heres the results, the photos dont do it justice as it was over cast when I took them.

Whilst trying to avoid the whole 'is washing with Dawn a good idea' Fairy is not the same as Dawn. In any case the car looks great.
 
Lowe can we get dawn over here?

I thought fairy was the same stuff.

Will I need to do the process again, Will the zaino take properly?

BTW...did you wait 24 hours before the 4th layer of Z2? Max 3 layers of ZFX in a single day.
 
Wow, that is a gorgeous car! I love the 3 series currently, the new ones arent quite as nice IMO. Excellent choice in automobiles.

Sorry I did not mean to imply some error on your part, it was more of a general point. I am not convinced by this washing with dish washing liquid but I guess that is another argument.



Phil, I am very confident that using Fairy has had no negative impact whatsoever.
 
Yeah Phil,

I can relate about overcast day ruining your pics. I recently detailed a car with Pro and it look amazing in sun and in person, but when I took the Pics it was overcast, and they didn't come out at all. Your's still looks nice though. We use products that are 45% solvents w/o question, but we are afraid of dishsoap because it has a high PH. I use Dishsoap, it strips the surface very nicely when that's what you want to do. If all you use is your favorite sealant as your LSP, you probably wouldn't have to do that maybe but once per year. But I wouldn't hesitate to use it more when you want to strip and start over, it's easy and is very effective. Whatever floats your boat.

Unfortunatly I did not know this. Yes all layer were aplied in the same day.

It seems o.k. If I have to strip off the zaino and start again because of this I guess thats what I'll to do.



It does not seem to have mattered about 4 coat in one day but i'll remember this for the future:xyxthumbs
