Zaino On My BMW M6 2006, Advice Please!

no need to redo the Z5. Z5 applies in the same manner as Z5pro. Z5 may take slightly longer to dry. You can apply Zaino as thick as you like but be warned too thick of an application will be difficult to remove and takes longer to dry. Thin is better. You can apply as many layers of each as you preferr.

We are way past those steps,

My question is still the same

I just found something really bad out,

My Z-5 dosen't have a Pro in it!!!

This is extermly wired as I just ordered the full package for Zaino a month or so ago

Z-2 is a Pro Z-5 is not!

I am applying 1 coats right now of Z-2 Pro on the car "finished doing

Z-5 X2 last night" as will as the wheels after collintie last night.

Is the regular Z-5 diffrent than the pro verison? in applecation or else?

Should I redo the hall process althought Z-5 was ZFXed?

I already did the first 2 coats of Z-5 last night should I order the new Z-5 pro;

or with the application I am doing right now of Z-2 Pro ZFXed X1 is going to be enough?

Harry, If you bought the Z5 from the Zaino store within the last couple of months (is it purple?) then it is Z5pro (they were using up the old bottles). Either way it is not bad. I think the Z5Pro is better...very close to Z2Pro...you do not have to redo anything...relax. The Z2Pro over the Z5 (or Z5Pro) is fine! Now about those pics...

Haha thanks guys wannafbody & Statman

Statman

The color of Z-5 is purple! so I guess they just wanted to use up the old

bottels! :doh

the pictures are coming tomorrow in day time :)

I did remove the Z-2pro with Z-6 mist.

I also did a pass with Z-8!

Those pictures are gonna be sweet@!

I did layer a thin coat, thanks for the advices everyone!

Still waiting for day time :2thumbs:

I am curious to know thought one thing,

I did wash / clay all the steps I mentioned

and then layered 2 coats of Z-5'ZFXed "did use Z-6 and Z-8" After and between last night,

today I did one coat of Z-2 Pro ZFXed did Z-6 and Z-8,

How long will this last for if I wash every week once and do a Z-8 pass with each wash?

It really depends on where you live (acid rain, smog, etc), if vehicle is garaged and the severity of your winter conditions.

In my case with very mild winters (1-2" snow/year - very little road salt used), careful washing using Z7, 5-6 applied coats of Z sealants and Z8 weekly maintenence will keep my Escalade 6-7 months appearing "just detailed" and beading wildly. :woot:

Sidenote: I believe the title of your thread is: "Zaino on my M5, please advice".

Zane posted some very valid and good advice about applying thinly by hand. Applying thinly using a PC method for application should be quite easily accomplished. Any concerns about "complete" coverage will be rectified by the fact that you are applying several coats. :xyxthumbs

Can't wait to see the pictures. :D

Harry, you don't need both Z6 and Z8...its one or the other...I prefer the Z8 myself (if you put too much Z8 on then use Z6 to remove it). Once you have your 3 coats on you can dust and spray with Z8 to maintain. I washed my car twice this summer and it is black.

Z8 is a pretty durable product. After your initial layers of Z5/ZP Z8 maintence should last untill you want to re-detail in the spring.

Agreed. An application of Werkstatt's Prime and Acrylic Jett in late July 2005 and freshened with Z8 (Z8 works great with Werkstatt products!) in late winter and the car was still beading when my son and I detailed it earlier this month-August 2006! 13 months of beading is a great testiment to both product lines. :)

I was also using Z8 on a customer's M Roadster, alternating it monthly with the original Z5. Did that for about 5-6 months and it still looked freshly detailed and felt super slick the entire time.

Thanks guys for all the help, no other community can top this one here!

I am glad to be part of it now,

As for the pictures, Its been cloudy here in VA all day today "Sunday"

I am hoping tomorrow will be a better day as the sun reflection will play

a big roll :) Also the car been garaged all this weekend :2thumbs:
